The mansion was breathtaking, and unexpectedly modern. Not at all how she expected a bunch of immortal beings to live, she expected coffins, dark wood and wallpaper, no cable, ugly curtains and constant cloudy whether. I couldn't be more wrong. The mansion thrived of huge windows that in warm sun rays inside, striking the black marble floors causing a glare. Those same windows held a beautiful view of what seems like an eternity of crystal blue waters sitting upon black sand.

A longing filled Fenix's spirit. She'd never seen a beach up close, let alone swim in one. All she had back in the bungalow was that waterfall, it was simple and beautiful while it lasted, till her brother Anthony banned her from it. Never giving a reason as to why, leaving a defiant 14 years old pretty pissed and upset. However in the moment she wish she could be upset over something so miniscule.

Now standing in front of the gates of hell while the devil stood on the other side waiting for her, old issues seemed foolish. Haley gave her hand one last squeeze before she turned and headed for the elevators. Fenix begged her with her eyes to stay but Haley  just gave a sympathetic smile headed off to whatever Wolves do in their spare time.  She raised a hand to knock right when the door opened, Perilous standing in front of her.

He was huge, she could never seem to adjust to his height. Taking shaky steps inside his room she took a seat in a white plush armchair, the chair seemed to swallow her up. Compared to it she was tiny, actually, compared to everything in this mansion she was a mouse. Even Victoria and Haley  were much larger than her, hell who was she kidding, even back home she was the smallest of the bunch.

The beast hid behind sinfully tanned skin across from her in grey joggers alone and a bare hairy chest. Still she found no trace of a belly button, she made a mental note to ask Haley about that.

"Little Fenix,"he started.

"Huge Beast" she retorted before she could stop herself. His eyes widened, he smiled. Not a scary baring of teeth but an actual amused smile.

"You, are something aren't you." he leaned forward in his seat squinting.

"I'd say I am someone, and everyone in here is something." she tilted her head. Hell, I was the only normal person here. "I beg to differ, I think you're hiding something from me." his black eyes flashed red for a millisecond. So fast that if she blinked she wouldn't have caught the change.

"I don't know what you're talking about." he was insane. He's the one who just ate a girl neck last night, but Im the one hiding something. "Keep your secrets, I have ways of getting the answers I want." he commanded. Fenix laughed nervously, "You're kidding right?" she hoped he was.

"Meredith" he called aloud, an older lady turned the corner of his room walking over to them. She look about 35, silver hair and eyes to match. "When I teleported you to the forest away from the battle, I intended for you to stay there a while." she slapped the back of his head. A growl escaped his mouth but he didn't launch at her surprisingly. "Well, I'm here despite your intentions." he rolled his eyes that of a son would do to his mother. "What is she, her eyes beamed hetero grey and golden?" he asked her. The Nerve, Fenix thought. "She is human nonetheless she is prophecy, Hush child, " she muttered while her eyes began to roll back walking in Fenix' direction blindly. Causing her to back up further into the chair as far as she could but Meredith grabbed either side of her head. Mumbling incoherent words, making Fenix' head felt as if it was spinning. Like someone put her brain in a salad and tossed it. Suddenly everything went black as drifted off into unconsciousness.

She finally pulled away with eyes wide as a newborn babe, she recited:

                                             "NomedXylon born but not born,

                                                       Feared yet will fear,

                                                      Only 2 futures can see

                                                               the key ,

                                                           To set them free,

                                                   Set nomedsstnerap free

And only then will the wars cease"

The old prophecy rang in his head, all the school creatures sang around the kingdom at lunch, the prophecy he dreaded to see, and though he knew what it meant. He didn't know how to go about it, how is she the key? Hell if anyone knew what  it meant. She's a human, small and insignificant and clearly clueless. Her blissful ignorance upset him to no end. Merridith knew what she was doing when she teleported him to the forest.

The old hag, "You knew" Peri accused.

"I had a hunch" she smiled.

"How does she fit into prophecy."

"That, you will have to figure out my dear, even I don't know." Ironic, they call her 'Merridith, the knower of all unknown'. Yet here she was not knowing the unknown.  He glanced over at the tiny girl, "she's the key ?" he asked still in disbelief.

"Aye, she is.." Merridith placed a hand on Fenix forehead.
