I woke up the next morning to find the hotel room empty. I felt around for my phone to call Hunter. "Hello?" He answered. "Where are you?" I asked. "Oh, i was picking up breakfast. I'm pulling in now." Hunter said. "Oh good. I'll see you soon." I said hanging up. About a minute later he unlocked the door and set breakfast down on the table next to the bed. "Why didn't you wake me?" I asked.
"I was on a mission." Hunter said. "A mission?" I asked. "Yes mam i woke up at four am to work on something for you." "You what?" I said up higher in the bed. "What? What is it?" I asked. "Give me a minute to hook this up." He said holding up his phone. I couldn't imagine what he'd been working on four almost four hours.
Once he had his phone hooked up to what looked like a new cord he hit play. A video started to play. I saw a girls face. "Hi, my name is Tanisha and I live in Atlanta Ga. Jessica. I just wanted to say that I'm really happy for you and Hunter. I hope you guys have a happy and long marriage." "Hi I'm Katelyn from Orlando Fl. I loved your line! I saw pictures online and I can't wait to buy several of the pieces. I hope you and Hunter are doing well." There were several more video messages of the same. Girls all over encouraging me.
Then there were comments. So many comments. Words of encouragement. "You did all of this?" I asked wiping at my eyes. "I did, I just wanted you to know that some of my fans like you. And they see you." Hunter said. "But you got up early to edit all this together." I said. "I did, I like you. Can we make a video to thank the fans?" He asked. "Oh sure. Can we eat first? I need to fix my hair and get dressed." I said. "Sure thing." He said.
He handed me a coffee and I toke a long sip. "So were getting married tomorrow. Are you nervous?" I asked. "Not really, I think it's cause were already technically married." Hunter said. "Right I'm with you on that." I said. Once we finished breakfast I got changed. I fixed my hair and makeup and we walked outside so we'd have good sunlight.
I wasn't sure what to say. But he was taking the lead. I guess thank you was good enough. "Hey you guys! Thank you so much for helping me with my little project. I asked you guys to show up and you did in such a huge way! Jessica LOVED the video you guys made. I'm so grateful for each and every one of you." Hunter said. "Thank you guys so much for all the wonderful comments. You guys seriously don't know what everything you said meant to me. Hunter definitely has the best fans ever." I said. "Bye you guys we have a busy day. See you on the road!" Hunter said.
Now we didn't tell people we were getting remarried. But if you played detective you know it's coming. The album has dropped and usually a tour follows right after. But there's a month missing. Maybe they figured it out. But we didn't tell anybody anything else. So maybe it'll be somewhat of a secret.
Gabby called about thirty minutes later letting us know they had landed. We were super close to the airport so we'd get there as soon as they got their luggage. We pulled in and picked them up. Then we took them to the same hotel we were staying at. I put there rooms on my tab because they were coming for our wedding and only had to stay here because they moved to work for me. Once we dropped them off they got settled. We didn't have to check into the spa until Four.
We arrived on time just as Jackson was pulling into the spa. Ethan climbed out of the passenger side of the truck. "This is still lame." Jackson Grumbled. "Dude shut up. It's for Hunter." Ethan said. "Hey you guys!" I called out. "Don't do that." Taylor hissed. "Don't do what be friendly?" I asked. "No, just I guess draw attention to us." Taylor said. I rolled my eyes. "Were spending the next hours with them anyways." I said.
"Oh, hey Taylor. You look good." Jackson said. "Oh hey Jax I almost didn't see your there." Said Taylor. I rolled my eyes. We checked in at the front desk and were offered champagne or sparkling water. I opted for the water. Wasn't much of a drinker. We were led to a dark room with quiet music. Massages were first. Once we did that we went to a separate room were we choose nail polish colors.
As we laid in the chairs we had our feet in the swirling water while ladies did some facials. "This was seriously such a good idea!" I told Hunter. "Meh I guess it wasn't terrible." Said Jackson. "See I told you this joint thing isn't so bad." Hunter said. "Maybe not for you because you're all in love and whatever but I would've been fine riding four wheeler's or something." Said Jackson. "Told you." I whispered to Hunter. He laughed lacing his fingers through mine. "Is this what I'm in for? You always being right?" Hunter asked. "Oh heck yea." I said.
The color I chose was a beautiful light teal. I chose to have it on my toes and nails. Once the nails were dry the girls finished up the facials. Then we headed out to the small area where they had a delicious and fancy looking meal prepared for dinner. We chatted about what we'd been up to since we'd seen each other last. "Well I'm dating a country singer. He's a hottie for sure. He wanted to be here with me but he couldn't take off work." Taylor said. "Oh you're seeing somebody already?" Jackson asked.
"Well you know Hunter set it up." Jackson glared at Hunter. "Really?" He asked. "What? She said you didn't want to date long distance. She shouldn't have to be alone because you are being a baby." Hunter said. "Well that's rude!" Jackson said making a face. "You're right, I'm sorry I guess I didn't think about how this would hurt you." Hunter said. "No you're right I guess she should be allowed to date or whatever." Jackson said. "Ya'll both just need to talk this out." Ethan said. "I'm with Ethan. This is a beautiful time for Hunter and Jessica so Ya'll need to be civil." Said Gabby.
"Fine." Jackson said standing up. "Shall we?" He asked. They left and I was glad for the quiet honestly. Once we finished eating they still hadn't come back but it was time for us to get into the mud bath. "I can get in there with you right?" Hunter asked. I chuckled. "I don't think so." I said shaking my head. We ran into Jackson and Taylor making out.
"Oh uh..." I didn't know what to say. They broke apart. "We made up." Taylor giggled. "Yea, we figured we could take trips back and forth." Jackson said. "Wow you guys must really like each other." Said Ethan. "What does that mean?" Jackson asked narrowing his eyes. "Dude, she passed up dating a country music star to date you." Ethan said. "Man Ya'll are just ragging me tonight!" Jackson said. "I still like you." Gabby said patting his back. "Me too." I said. "Well thank you ladies. Let's go get in some mud." Jackson said smiling.
We had our bathing suits on under our clothes so we could easily get in. The mud was actually really relaxing. Once we finished soaking in the mud we hit up the sauna. "It's just like living in Louisiana." I joked. "You aint lyin." Said Hunter. It was about eight by this point. And we had done just about everything. We all got back in our cars and headed to our hotels.
"So you and Jackson just got back together just like that?" I asked. "Yea, so?" "What about that date you went on?" Hunter asked. "Well I kind of didn't go. I'm sorry I know you went through the trouble of setting it up. But I just felt like there was something there between Jackson and I." Taylor said. "Well apparently there still is, I'm happy for you guys. I just don't want you to get hurt." I said. "Me either, if he wants to do this long distance thing he's gonna have to be all in." Gabby said. "I think he is." Taylor said. "But if I don't try I guess I'll never know." Taylor said shrugging.
We pulled into the hotel. "Okay ladies, I'll see you bright and early in the am to start decorating." Hunter said. "Sounds good." We went to our room and headed to sleep.
