Maddie's POV:
"I feel so alive!!!" I said while surfing next to Elijah.
"I know, me too!!!" he answers back to me.
We head to shore.
"Okay, so if you're going to win the Junior Surfing Competition, you need to know some good tricks to do that will impress the judges" Elijah tells me.
"Okay, I think I have a few good tricks up my sleeve." I say.
"Go for it."
I run out to the ocean and see a wave.
So I'm on my board surfing, then I do a handstand on it.
Elijah starts clapping, then everyone else on the beach looks at me and starts clapping too.
When I stand back up on my board, I do a front flip in the air and land safely on the board.
Soon, Elijah starts chanting, "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie", so on and so on.
Then everyone else on the beach starts doing it too. Then all you hear is, "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie..."
I come back to shore and everyone starts clapping again.
"That was awesome!" Elijah says.
"Thanks, do you think that's good enough for me to win?" I ask hopefully.
"That's more than good enough" He says putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Thanks Elijah, you're the best friend ever" I say giving him a hug.
He hugs back then says, "Ok now let's get back out there!!!"
"Race ya" I say starting to run towards the ocean.
"Hey I wasn't ready yet!" Elijah says chasing after me.
I start laughing and so does he.
