Just Friends?

Maddie's POV:

"I'm gonna miss the Junior Surfing Competition next week!!" I scream.

I start hyperventilating and breathing really fast again.

"I can't surf, I can't surf, I can't surf, I can't surf!" I start saying.

"Maddie, Maddie, Maddie, it's ok, it's ok, calm down, calm down." Elijah start saying, but I can't calm down, if I can't surf, I can't live. I faint.

When I finally wake up, I see Elijah and he says, "Come on, the doctors said that you're ready to go home, let's go."

"Ok"

We don't go to her own separate houses, we end up going to this condo right on the beach, one that I've always wanted to live in.

We walk in and sit on the couch.

"Mommy, daddy, your home, your home, your home!!!" this little girl comes in saying.

She looks adorable. Like both me and Elijah. Wait, did she call us mommy and daddy?!?!?!

I see a picture of me and Elijah on the wall. I'm in a wedding dress, and he's in a tuxedo.

"Yes Isabella, Mommy and Daddy are home." Elijah said.

Wait, let me get one thing straight, when did I get married to Elijah?!?! When did I have a kid with Elijah?!?!

I have no idea, but I think I like it.

"Um Isabella, can I talk to your daddy for a minute?" I ask my... daughter.

"Ok mommy." She says then walks out of the room.

She's such a good child. I knew I'd be a great mother.

"Ya honey, what's up" Elijah asks.

"Umm... I just wanted to say that... I love you." I say looking at him.

"I love you too." Elijah looks at me with his deep blue eyes and then he leans in.

I don't know what to do, so I lean in too.

Then we are kissing. It feels so right.

Then we pull apart and he says, "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie, hey Madds, you awake?"

I wake up.

It was all a dream.

Elijah is the only one in the room with me.

"I asked the doctor if I could be there when you wake up, and he said okay" he starts saying.

Just out of the blue, I start crying.

"Hey, hey, hey. What's wrong Maddie?" Elijah says then sits down on the hospital bed next to me.

"What if I can never surf again. One year is a really long time." I say chocking up.

Elijah gives me a hug and says, "It's ok, we'll get through this."

Then under his breath I hear him say, "I love you"

We pull apart from the hug.

"What did you say?"

"I said that we'll get through this."

"No, after that."

"Oh, that," he scratches his head, "I said, I love you"

Then he continues by saying, "But it doesn't matter because I already asked you out, and you said no, so I know you don't like me back so just for-"

I interrupt him by pressing my lips up against his. They are so soft and sweet.

We are actually kissing, but this time, it's not a dream.

We finally pull apart and I say, "I love you too."

Elijah is speechless, I can tell.

The Doctor comes in and says, "Ok Maddie, you're ready to go." Then the nurse comes in with the wheelchair.

My dad helps me in the wheelchair and Elijah pushes me home.

I'm glad I kissed him. I now have strong feelings for him.
