(This chapter is after a time skip! Not by much, just after the boys have finished their rehabilitation training, so about 5/6 weeks? From this point onward there will be spoilers for the manga so be careful!:3)
(Y/N) gripped the cane in her hand as she stumbled towards the courtyard. As the boys were working on their reflexes and pushing themselves to their limits, she had to work on walking properly again. This meant she barely got to see them over the past 5 weeks, and this upset her.
"You've got this, (N/N)!" Shinobu cheered as the h/c haired girl walked across the soft grass. When Shinobu wasn't helping the boys train, she was cheering (Y/N) on. She had even made a brace for her leg to keep it from getting injured any further. Her final diagnosis was a broken wrist, a torn ligament in one leg and a fracture in the other. But she was making good progress.
Shinobu had grown close to (Y/N) over the weeks she had helped her, courtesy of Mitsuri. They grew so close that she was even willing to deliver letters to Inosuke for the girl. Inosuke...even the name made her sad. She hadn't seen him since Tanjiro grabbed him, and she had spent many nights crying over this to her dismay.
You see, she had finally accepted her feelings towards the boar boy. She was...in love. Every time she thought about him her stomach would flip and she'd find herself getting giddy. His smiling face came to mind as she walked- and she pushed herself further. A lot of progress had been made since they were brought to the Butterfly Estate. After a week she was able to get out of bed by herself. After two, she was able to walk from her bed to the door way with minimal help. After three she was able to finally grip her sword and swing it with success. And now, 5 weeks later, she was able to walk from her room to the courtyard with a cane.
"You did it!" The butterfly girl exclaims as (Y/N) sends her a grin. She takes a deep breath as she grips the cane in her hand, leaning on it. Inosuke would be so proud of her. Clapping sounds from behind her, and she turns her head in confusion. The boys are stood in the courtyard, and Tanjiro was clapping for her. The boar boy had his mask tucked between his arms as he stares at her with a smile on his face, and Zenitsu had his hands clasped together.
"(Y/N)-chan!" The blonde yells and she smiles at him. Her attention was completely on Inosuke, and him alone. His wounds had fully healed, and he had become even more toned if that was possible. His emerald eyes she loved so much were soft as he looks at her. She takes a deep breath, and grits her teeth as she walked over to him. Walking was difficult for her but it was oh so worth it. As she walks towards him he grins, and he rushes over to her. They meet half way, and their arms wrap around each other tightly. (Y/N) stuffs her face in the crook of his neck as they embrace each other. She had missed his touch so damn much, and it felt so good to be near him again. Inosuke picks her up off the ground slightly as he spins her around- causing her to giggle.
"I missed you, dumbass" He murmurs into her hair as he twirls her, and he gently sets her back onto the floor. She chuckles into his chest (the sound muffled) before pulling away slightly. She looks up at his face, blushing due to how close she was to him. Butterflies flutter gently in her stomach as she looks at him, and he smirks slightly.

Inosuke's stomach was going wild as he looks down at the girl. She had changed so much yet stayed the same since he last saw her. Her h/c hair had began to grow out more and was now hanging softly about her shoulders. Her e/c eyes stared up at him gently, and her pink lips were slightly apart. She wasn't as injured anymore which made him feel relieved. It was awful seeing her stuck in her bed, looking so fragile. He ruffles her hair with his free hand, gasping mentally at how soft it was.
Since his conversation with Tanjiro he was feeling conflicted. He loved the girl, he knew that much- he wanted to be with her all the time. But he was nervous that she didn't feel the same. Tanjiro had explained one day in training that you can love anyone but they may not love you back- and the red head was quick to assure him that this wasn't the case for him and (Y/N). Tanjiro had also insisted that the boy tells her his true feelings, so he had been thinking of ways to do it. During a mission? No there'd be too much going on. During bed time? Nah, the girl would most likely be asleep. He just couldn't think of the right time.
He breaks away from the hug with a smirk, and he flexes his muscles.
"Look how buff I got! I bet I could beat your ass in a fight still" He grins, and she shoves him gently. She sends him a look before raising her bamboo cane.
"Not if I beat you with my stick first, headass" She giggles, and he scowls playfully. He rustling in front of them and his eyes travel over the top of the girls head. His eyes widen as he sees the strange woman. You see, Inosuke wasn't good with people so he thought she was strange. She had black tied up hair that faded to purple, and a kind yet scary smile on her lips. She had helped the boys through their training, and when Tanjiro inquired about her they discovered she was a Pillar- The Insect Pillar to be exact.
(Y/N) looks at him strangely and turns her head to see what he was glaring at. She sees Shinobu waving at the two and she rolls her eyes slightly.
"Inosuke...why are you glaring at Shinobu?" She asks cautiously, and he pouts. She had helped him a lot throughout his rehabilitation training- but something about her perplexed him. He shrugs his shoulders slightly and she shakes her head, waving at the boys behind them.

The four sit on the wooden ledge, tea clasped in their hands. (Y/N) had her stick tucked by her side and she laid her head on Inosuke's shoulder. The tea in her hands was warm- making her feel even more relaxed. She would have even been swinging her legs right now if one of them wasn't broken. Crickets chirped quietly as they sipped at their beverages. The Butterfly Estate was incredibly peaceful and so beautiful. Over her stay, (Y/N) had discovered it was the place injured slayers were sent to to obtain medical attention and medicine.
"I can't believe that wasn't one of the Twelve Kizuki" She mumble as she sips her tea gently. Whilst she was knocked out, she discovered that the huge beast was just an abnormally strong demon. Tanjiro and The Water Pillar had taken the true Kizuki down, and even Nezuko got involved. It turns out that due to Muzan's blood flowing through her, she's able to use said blood in attacks.
"It was...tough" Tanjiro murmurs as he swishes the green liquid in his small cup. The dark haired boy nudges her with his shoulder- and she smiles. She missed this. A shadow appears on her hands and she furrows her eyes in confusion, and she looks up at the sky. A large crow swoops in without warning and places it's self on the red heads hair, causing him to jump in surprise. He spills his tea in his lap, causing Inosuke to cackle. As he clutches his stomach, he also spills his tea- and he pouts.
"You're so dumb" (Y/N) gasps out as she pokes his cheek, joining in with the laughter. The crow begins to peck at Tanjiro and it opens up it's long beak.
"Mission! Mission!"
Hey gang! I made this chapter somewhat fluffy, as both you and Inosuke deserve some love! I've changed up the story slightly so it's still following the main one, but (Y/N)-chan won't be participating in some key events. We're so closed to seeing these two goofballs confessing to each other, so stay tuned my dudes. Also, the next few chapters will be a lot longer!
