(Hey! Just a note: In the feedback thingy I did most people wanted longer chapters, and I'm working towards that! After this chapter, they should be around 3k words each. Here's a short chapter while you wait. Thank you for your patience , and be warned there is manga spoilers from this point onward :3)

"Mission! Mission!" The crow shrieks, and (Y/N) wrinkles her nose slightly. Oh how she didn't miss the voice of Tanjiro's crow. The red head opens out his hands as the crow hops into them.

"Mission for Kamado Tanjiro! Hashibira Inosuke! Agatsuma Zentisu! Meet with the Flame Hashira to investigate demon sightings!" It says in a shrill voice and she finds herself tilting her head. Why wasn't her name included, she was almost completely healed after all. Inosuke seemed to be thinking the same thing as he poked harshly at the crow.

"Oi, shithead. What about her?" He says gruffly as he points over to (Y/N). She snickers slightly at his language choice, and the crow ruffles it's feathers. This crow really didn't seem to have a sense of humour.

"Too injured! She's not permitted on this mission!" It caws once more before flapping away quickly. She looks down in her lap quietly as she places her small cup beside her. She wasn't going to lie, she felt crushed. All this training was to make it so she could become fit enough to go on future missions, but now that had all gone to waste. But maybe the crow was right, maybe she'd be a liability.

"I'm going to eat that crow" Inosuke mumbles under his breath as he looks over at the girl. She was playing with her hands absentmindedly, and normally by now she would have said something sarcastic to the crow or would have laughed at his remark. But something seemed so different now. 

"Oi dumbass, what's wrong?" He says softly as he furrows his eyebrows. He hears her sigh, and she looks up at him. Her e/c eyes were filling with tears but she was smiling. Confused, he pokes her cheek gently. She quickly wipes her eyes and she grabs her cane in her hand. She couldn't lie, it was a beautiful cane- and it was intricately carved just for her use.

"Nothing, nothing I'm good" She reassures him as she stumbles to her feet. They had a mission to prepare for and she didn't want to make them late. He quickly follows her up and awkwardly puts his large hands on her shoulders. He didn't know how to comfort her, so he did the first thing he could think of. As she places her hand on top of Inosukes the two other boys jump up, and Tanjiro looks at her apologetically.

"We'll try our best, just for you!" He says kindly, causing the blonde boy to nod vigorously and clap his hands. She was thankful to have met these guys- god knows what she'd do without them. The sun beams down on them as she grins at them, and she nods slightly.

"Hell yeah, you better" She grins and she looks up and the dark haired boy. He looked concerned, so she quickly boops him on the nose. 

"Don't look so sad" She murmurs just so he can hear and he grunts slightly. Ruffling his hair she pulls away from him slightly. They had a mission to prepare for.

(Y/N) grabs a clean robe as she hobbles into her bedroom. Apparently they were expecting a visit from the swordsmith, after all their blades were obliterated whilst fighting in the spider forest. 

"This isn't going to go well" She mumbles to herself as she ties the robe around her waist. If her last visit with the swordsmith was anything to go on, this one was going to be even more...eventful. The evening was beginning to dawn on the Estate, she could tell by the yellow tones filling her room. In all honesty, she was worried about the boys- especially Inosuke. Their missions had been getting harder since they progressed, so she didn't want them getting hurt. A knock fills the room softly, and she quickly opens up the sliding door.

Shinobu stands in the doorway with a smile on her face. Her dark hair was now hanging gently around her shoulders, a sight that was incredibly rare to see. Over the month and a bit she had been staying at the Estate, she had only seen the butterfly girl with her hair down twice.

"The swordsmith is here to see you, my dear" She says kindly, and (Y/N) nods her head. She grabs her cane and sets off towards the main building with Shinobu walking behind her. The Estate was huge and there was different buildings allocated to different things. There was the training building that Kanao often frequented. There was the kitchens that Aoi and the other girls helped in. Then you had the rooms and the main building where people would meet up. (Y/N) would live here forever if she could. 

She makes her way over to the main building in no time, and she quickly pulls herself up the wooden steps. The door was already open and she could see the boys inside. Inosuke was sat with his mask on, swinging his legs- he looked bored out of his mind. She sets herself down next to him with a soft 'plonk' and he immediately looks up. As soon as he spots her, she hears him chuckle slightly.

"As soon as we get our new blades, i'm gonna fight you dumbass!" He teases and she hits him gently with his stick. Tanjiro watches the two with a smile on his face, and Nezuko peaks her head over the top of her wooden box. 

"Nezuko!" (Y/N) coos, and the dark haired girl immediately perks up. She crawls out of the box and runs over to the girls lap, getting herself comfortable. Beside her, Inosuke is pouting behind his mask. 

"Long time no see" (Y/N) giggles as she pats the demons head. The sun had finally set so she wasn't in danger of burning up. The boar boy grumbles as he watches the two with his arms crossed. Why couldn't that be him?
