"Genya?!" She gasped as he fired the gun, a shotgun shell embedding itself in the demons neck. It's head came flying off, only leaving a bloody stump in place. (Y/N) winced as she pulled herself to her feet, cursing at the new tears in her flame haori. She gripped hold of her blade and turned to face the battle once more.

"Oooh, that was enjoyable! Fun even...I've never felt an attack like that before" The upper moon teased as it's head began to grow back, and Genya let out an annoyed huff. He sprung down from the roof top, snarling as his blade cut through the other demons head like butter.

"Genya...no! No matter how strong you are, this demon can't be defeated! Every time you severe a limb, it grows back! It grows stronger!" She cried, and the boys eyes widened in shock. God...this was awful. How were they supposed to kill something like this? She turned her head for one second as she looked around their environment and in a split second, something sharp had wrapped itself around her ankle.

"What the fuck!" (Y/N) screeched as she was pulled into the sky, her h/c locks bellowing around her face as she thrashed around. One of the demons had fucking grown wings, and all she could do was cry. Tanjiro had also been snatched...but he was seemingly calm.

"Don't worry about me, Nezuko! Help Genya! Me and (Y/N)-Chan have got this!" He yelled down at the demon girl, his maroon eyes soft even in a situation as severe as this. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed hold of her blade and swung with all her might at the demons leg- and it quickly let go of them. The wind engulfed her body as she feel through the air, and she was too late to grab hold of a tree branch like Tanjiro did.

"Shit!" She hissed as her back collided with the dusty floor, copper liquid leaving her lips as she felt her ribs crack under the pressure. But there was no time to rest, they had to kill these things- the village was in danger! She heard a grunt from beside her as Tanjiro sliced away at it's head, and she took the time to scramble backwards. Like before, it's heads multiplied. But this time, the red haired boy didn't seem panicked. No...this time, he had a wicked smirk on his face.

"It's attacks are decreasing in strength!" He grinned, and she quickly pulled herself to her feet and readied her blade. If what he said was true, then surely they could keep cutting at it until it finally grew too weak. Whilst Tanjiro was busy staring at the heads in front of him, he failed to realize the one coming up behind him.

"Eclipse breathing: Fifth form. Cosmos" She muttered to herself as she flung herself towards the snake like head, severing it from it's spinal cord and sending it flying across the forest floor. Just as she turned around to check up on her friend, her stomach sank as she saw the flying figure coming straight towards her.

"Dumbass hasn't sent me a letter in a while" Inosuke pouted as he rested his head on his fist, poking around at the food on his plate. He missed the girl, he knew that much- and that feeling of longing he had was only getting worse. They had only been this far apart once before, and that was just after final selection.

"She's not...she's not dead, is she?" He mumbled, feeling a pit form in his stomach. She was so good at sending letters...she would have sent one by now right? The yellow haired boy snickered slightly as he poked at Inosuke, his face slightly flushed.

"It's not like you to care so much, boar boy" He teased, and Inosuke shoved him away. Of course he cared, dumbass was his everything. She washed his hair for him, she hugged him, she fed him. He had never experienced such affection before, and every time he thought of the h/c haired girl his heart would swell. With one last poke at his onigiri, he got up from the table and dashed towards his futon. Sleep would make him feel better, it always did.
