Power Rangers SPD: The New Generation

Chapter 3: First clash

A strange, bulky, blue alien snapped it's fingers, causing an explosion to appear as people tried to escape the business center of Half Moon City. The alien laughed.

"YES, RUN HUMANS! THIS WILL BE BUT A PREVIEW OF YOUR FUTURE SUFFERING. LORD KAIZO OF ELTAR WILL MAKE YOU ALL SUFFER!" the alien yelled as he laughed sadistically when lasers were shot at the alien. The alien was taken by surprised as he was sent flying back by the lasers.

"Freeze, SPD. We're bringing you in!" yelled Luke as he and his rangers got out of their vehicles. The alien stood.

"Ahh, so you are the famous Power Rangers, Kaizo hated so much... the legacy of Zordon... though I hear you are a new inexperienced team." The alien stated.

"So what? We will take you down before lunch time... mmm lunch... I could go for a pizza... or a torta... or some tamales... or some..." Luis started to say before the rangers yelled at him.

"LUIS!"

"Right, fight first, food later." Luis said. The alien chuckled.

"I am Merek, Master of Explosion!" The alien introduced himself smugly.

"Merek... he is on SPD's most wanted list for atrocious bombings all over the galaxy!" Jessica said in shock. THIS was their first field enemy, not including the weird energy guy.

"Bombings... I never use bombs... I can make any ground around me explode... even the ground right under you." Merek replied as he snapped. The ground under the Rangers exploded, flinging the Rangers into the air and they fall fell down onto the ground.

"Quite a welcome." Luke quipped.

"Let's get back up and make him regret it." Chris said. The Rangers stood up. Luke grabbed his Delta Blasters, the other Rangers followed suit by getting their Delta Max Strikers.

"Alright guys, fire!" Luke said as the Rangers fired their weapons at Merek. Merek flew backward but flipped and landed on his feet. Without missing a beat, Merek heard

"Omega Morpher: Electro Mode." and a massive shockwave was sent flying him. Merek flew back again and growled as he got up.

"Do you think I would really come here alone... time to bring out the Eltareis." Merek said as he threw a metallic object in the air and an army of robots, just like the ones that attacked Jack's shelter appeared.

"It's those robots from before!" Jessica said in shock.

"I'm going to fight Merek!" Luke said.

"No... we need to fight him as a team!" Sam replied. Luke sighed.

"Right... I can't lone wolf this. Jessica, turn invisible and take out any Eltarei in your way... just make sure to tail Merek if he runs... we need to make sure at least one Ranger tails him so the rest of us can follow." Luke said. Jessica nodded.

"Right." The Yellow Ranger said before she turned invisible. Luke summoned the Power Sword, a weapon Merek recognized at once.

"That weapon... once weilded by Zordon himself in his youth... later passed down to that Jason guy and later to Rocky DeSantos.. yes I know that weapon well." Merek said with a growl.

"Well, you're about to learn about more!" Chris said as he and the other Rangers put their Strikers into sword mode.

"Let's get these bots... make sure to be attentive... we can't hit Jessica." Luke said before he and the other Rangers charged at the Eltarean robots.

Luke and the others slashed through the robots with ease before they heard footsteps. Merek was running and Jessica, who was invisible, was hot on his tail. Merek was surprised when a shot hit him.
