ellie hesitated for a second but pressed the accept button anyway.
"hi" she whispered snivelling
"el? you ok?"
"i'm fine payton"
"el i know you aren't, turn on facetime"
"fine" ellie said negatively
as her face filled up the screen paytons face changed and saw how bad the girl was taking the rumours and shit going on.
"oh el"
"payton i'll be fine i promise. maybe just for today i might be a bit sad" she said "i've had these things before."
"el i'm always here if you want to talk, go hang out with bryce or quinton maybe. please don't let this ruin your whole trip"
"i promise payt"
the two stayed on facetime for around forty minutes. completely avoiding the whole subject about the 'tea'. they were just enjoying each other's company.
ellie walked out of her room with a much different attitude. she was positively beaming.
