ellie flopped down lazily one the couch and lifted her legs to rest her feet on paytons lap who was sitting, also on the couch, typing on his phone.
"nuuuu"
"yessssss" ellie countered childlessly
payton sighed but gave in and the girl could easily rest her legs on him now.
a comfortable silence happened until payton broke it with a yawn and stood up, meaning ellie's legs flew off his lap, to her disappointment.
"where you going" she asked payt who was now heading out the door.
"to play some gta, wanna come?"
"i'll come but you know i don't like those games"
"oh yeah only minecraft and mario kart" he spoke mockily.
"and just dance" ellie said as she playfully pushed him forward, but followed him out to the door to the room where the video games were set up and ready to play.

"yesssss, you son of a bitchhhh" verballed payton as he obviously won in some sort of way in the gta game.
parker and dylan were sat on opposite sides of ellie who, quite frankly, looked quite annoyed. she was trying to read her book.
but the boys were boys and of course they were wild.
"guys please shush i'm trying to read and i have a headache"
"bookworm" all three boys muttered still having eyes on the screen.
"i'm serious"
"oh right that reminds me" payt starts as he throws the controller onto a cushion nearby and sets off walking out of the room. footsteps could be heard on the landing and he soon returned with a little package in his grasp.
"i got this for you as a 'welcome back' present" he explained while doing inverted commas around the word welcome back.
ellie laughed "oh my god payton,you shouldn't have"
"i meant to give to to you at the airport but i kinda forgot about it" he admitted, nervously rubbing the nape of his neck.
the girl who was getting the present laughed at the mistake of the boy.
"anyway, here it is" payton spoke as he handed the present over to the excited ellie.
ellie enthusiasticly ripped the wrapping off the gift and was delighted at what she saw.
"oh my god"
payton had got her six new books. books that he knew she really had her eyes on for a while, but never got the chance to get.
"do you like?" he said hopefully
"i love it!!!" she screamed as rushed up to him and gave him a hug which he gladly returned.
"great, i knew i had to get them for you because you are literally a book addict"
"but you are my book addict" he added fondly.
