Spirit Meadows Mental Asylum

Chapter 1- Welcome!

"Do I really have to go to a mental hospital mum?!" Scarlett groaned from the back seat, they have been driving for nearly 2 hours and she was over it, she wanted to go home she did not need a dumb hospital she wasn't crazy like everyone else that's here

"Spirited Meadow Mental Asylum for mentally troubled teens" She reads the old broken sign, as the pull to a large gate with a barbed wire fence along the top of it, the hospital is old and the paint is peeling, the walls have bars over the windows to prevent anyone from escaping

"Mum this is a prison!!" Scarlett yells slumping in the seat, her anger quickly fading to sadness, she wanted to go home to her comfortable bed and see her friends at school, now shes stuck here!!!

"Come on Scarlett we need to go, your already late for check in" Her mom tells her exiting the car, with a loud and angry groan she climbs out of the car taking her suitcase from her mom and stomps to the door, her parents quickly following there angry daughter as she slams the doors opening

"Hello!! Welcome" A Nurse calls out quickly coming over, she had long brown hair and blueish green eyes, she had loads of freckles and a warm smile, she was about 5'4, she had stickers all over her outfit

"I'm Caitlin, one of the Counselors here, and you are?" Caitlin asked the moody teen who seemed to be judging her 

"Uh this is Scarlett Temple James... she was to be admitted today" Her mom speaks for her, as Scarlett looks around rather confused, the inside was not as bad as the outside but certainly could be better. There were other girls walking around with nurses following or guiding them

"Ah yes! I am one of your counselors actually" Caitlin leads them to the Sign in desk, she taps on the computer before picking up the phone

"Hello B? Yes, send down one of the girls from room A6 please" She says before hanging up handing Scarlett's mom a clipboard of papers

"Uh girls?" Scarlett questioned looking the girl up and down, her anger was gone and now she was just upset with her parents for sending her here, like shes bipolar who cares!

"Your roommates, you see everyone here has a room or a group who they stay with, you're in room A6, a lovely group of girls I am sure you guys will get along great!!" Caitlin tells her gently; she knows how to handle the toughest patients and certainly

"Ah KJ over here!!" Caitlin shouts, a girl comes skipping over, she has short blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she stops with a giant smile

"Hello Cait, how can I help?" She questions before her eyes fall on Scarlett; she furrows her brows as they stare at each other

"This is Scarlett your new roommate... she will be in your girls' group, so I trust you guys to show her around" Caitlin tells the girl who nods

"Cool, Follow me you're going to like us we are great" The girl says turning and skipping off, Scarlet huffs out a goodbye to her parents and follows the girl who was talking to herself as they walked up the stairs

"So there are 4 floors, the lobby area as you saw which is also the cafeteria your going to LOVE the food I promise its delicious, then floor we are going on is room A-D each floor having 10 rooms... the floor above is rooms E-H and then the final floor is the therapy spot, group and separate therapy... you should have a schedule by tomorrow at most" KJ rambles as they walk down the corridor turning down one with a letter A above it

"Also Monday and Wednesday are group therapy days... uh oh hey a bird!! wait, where was I? OH! Tuesday is Thursday are separate therapy days, Friday and Saturday are free days and every other Sunday is family day!" KJ finishes looking at the girl who was trying to process the amount of info thrown at her so quickly

"Do uh you ever speak slowly?" Scarlett questioned ruder than she actually intended the other girl just gave her a look of anger before shaking her head

"You will find out more about us in group therapy tomorrow morning... also Breakfast is from 6 am to 8 am... Lunch is from 11am to 1pm... and dinner is from 5pm to 7pm" She explains this time agonizingly slow for the new girl

"Medicine is giving every morning and night, and times between are breaks and or therapy session" they stop at another door with a 6 above it

"Ready to meet your new family for however long your stuck here?" KJ asked her and Scarlett nodded confused and upset, the girl opened the door slowly not wanting to startle her friends

"KJ!" Ramisa yelled running over hiding behind the girl

"What happened?" KJ asked as Scarlett stared in utter confusion

"There someone over there" She points to an empty corner and KJ smiles slightly before wrapping an arm around the younger girl

"Peaches sweetie there's no one there" KJ says leading her to the corner and showing her its empty

"I thought" She starts when a scream cuts them off as the door opens and an angry Emilia walks in

"Those doctors are fucking stupid!!" She yells but stops seeing the new girl she rolls her eyes and stomps to the room to the left slamming the door which scares Owyn who was on the couch next to her twin who quickly pulls her into a hug to calm her down

"Ugh okay uh Peach you show Scarlett around I will talk to Nugs okay?" Ramisa nods as KJ follows the angry Emilia shutting the door much calmer than she did

"So, mate... welcome to Spirited Meadow Mental Asylum!!!"
