Present time ~ Betty's POV ~ 7 February 2019 ~ 4pm
Archie just left because he had football practice, they're all now in their last year in high school. Normally they would be graduated already but I heard there were problems with the principals so every student had to do their year over.
Veronica stayed a little longer since she missed me so much and we wanted to catch up.
"Mom! I'm gonna pack out my stuff upstairs!" I shouted to the kitchen were both my mom and dad were preparing dinner.
"Are you coming with me baby?" I asked Kaylee as I reached out my hand for her to grab it.
"Pick", she said. I reached my hand out for her a second time, "Baby, you can walk yourself I need to take our suitcases upstairs"
"No pick", she pouted.
"I'll take the suitcases", Veronica offered, so I walked over to Kaylee to pick her up from te couch.
We headed upstairs and to my surprise my room was exactly the same as three years ago. "Wow", I exclaimed, entering.
"It's exactly the same", I added."It is, and luckily it is because you are back now", Veronica smiled. I turned around and also smiled at her. "Shall we unpack your stuff I need to go home for dinner in a bit", she said.
I walked over to Veronica and made her release the grip she had on the handle. "Vee...I can do it my it myself", I said grabbed her hand and walked over to my king-sized bed.
We both sat down and I placed Kaylee in my lap. She didn't stopped moving and wrapped her arms around my neck so I kissed her head.
Veronica was watching us in awe. "B, I just can't believe you got pregnant, you gave birth and you raised this little angel without us knowing it"
"I can't believe it myself but it's true", I laughed. "But I actually want to ask you something", I said then.
"Sure go ahead", she said.
I smiled wide because I was filled with excitement, I was so happy I could finally ask it. "Do you want to be Kaylee's godmother?"
"Yes of course! Thousand times yes!" She exclaimed.
"Kaylee?", My cute little nugget who was sitting in my lap asked, overhearing the conversation but probably understanding nothing.
"That is you baby", I said and then kissed her cheek which made her giggle.
Veronica turned her head, hiding the smile that faded away really quick. I put my hand on her leg, "What wrong?" I asked worried.
She sighed, "I just fell bad for not being near you when you needed me"
I think a second, not longer, about what I could say. "You helped me the most of everyone here in Riverdale", I told her.
Veronica's eyebrows touched each other as she frowned at what I said. "Because of you I know Katy Keene and she helped me with everything", I explained.
"Katy did?" She asked.
"Yes along with her best friend George. You should call her and invite her for a weekend", I suggested.
After a minute of silence Veronica suddenly snapped at me, "Why don't you invite her, since she's your new best friend anyway!"
She stood up and made her way towards the door. "Vee wait!" I put down Kaylee on my bed and walked over to her.
I grabbed her hand and started talking. "Veronica you are my best friend, you always have been and that's not changing anytime soon"
"But-...", she tried to say something but I cut her off. "I wanted my best friend to be Kaylee's godmother, I could've asked Katy but instead I waited two and a half year because I wanted you to be it so badly", I told her.
"I'm sorry...Riverdale changed so much since you left and now that you're back I can't handle the happiness that I feel", Veronica said, wiping a tear from her cheek.
"It's okay, hug?" I asked. She nodded her head in agreement and opened her arms as she walked closer to me. I also wrapped my arms around, we stayed like this until Veronica phone started vibrating.
She pulled out and grabbed her phone out of her pocket. "It's my mom I gave to go", she said and headed downstairs.
I watched from upstairs as she closed the door behind her after leaving. But when I heard the noise of something fall, I quickly turned around to see my baby laying on the ground, tears forming in her eyes.
I ran over and picked her up. "Mommyyyyy!" She cried.
"Shh...I got you, what happened?" I asked, rocking her in my arms.
"W..was jumping a..and fell", she sobbed.
"Where does it hurt?" I asked sitting down on my bed. Kaylee pointed at her foot, then hid her face in my neck and held on me even tighter.
I stood back up and walked down the stairs the get her an icepack. "Sweetie dinner is almost ready, can you set the table?" My mom asked as I was in the kitchen.
"I really want to but Kaylee fell of my bed and hurt her foot", when I said her name Kaylee removed her head of my neck.
Just then my parents saw her face covered with tears. I sat Kaylee down on the kitchen counter and walked over to the fridge.
"Come baaaackk", Kaylee cried and reached her arms out for me. "Mommy's just grabbing something to make the pain go away", I said and grabbed the icepack.
I didn't expect her to calm down, but to my surprise she did. I walk over to her and hold the icepack on her foot. As she wrapped her arms around my neck I kissed her on her forehead.
In the corner of my eye I saw my dad holding my mom and both smiling at us. I turned to look at them, "What are you smiling at?" I asked.
"Just everything. My little girl who now has a little girl herself, it's amazing to see how much you love her Betty", my dad explained.
I picked Kaylee up and walked over to them. I handed Kaylee over to my mom and dad who covered her with kissed and hugs.
"Is your foot better?" My mom asked, Kaylee simply nodded her head.
"She's over-sensitive, it was probably nothing bad", I said.
Both my mom and dad started laughing, "She has that from you"
"Really?", I asked, I didn't knew that. She nodded her head yes.
"Come on spaghetti is ready, you two must be starving", my mom said then.
