Present time ~ Betty's POV ~ 5 March 2019 ~ 6 PM

"K..kay..lee", I sobbed, "She gone"

Archie crouched down in front of me and asked, "What!? Where did she go?"

I took a deep breath to calm down before answering him. "Don't know I looked everywhere....she's not in the house and not in the garden"

"Betty it's fine we'll find her okay", Archie tried to comfort by touching my shoulder.

I looked up at him and started in his eyes, "Please", I cried.

"I promise. You stay here look again inside your house and in the garden, I'll searched around your house and check if the neighbors saw her"

I nodded my head and watched him looking around as he left my backyard. I called Sarah and she came to pick up Lucie as she was done working and near my house.

She didn't knew that Kaylee was missing, I just told her she was tired and I put her upstairs for a nap. After she left I searched my whole house, again, even the attic but nothing.

Once again I wiped away tears and looked out the window seeing Archie looking around in his backyard, not skipping a single inch of it.

Suddenly his head turns around, did he hear or saw Kaylee?!

I ran down the stairs but got stopped by my phone vibrating in my back pocket. When I grabbed it I saw an unknown number, did someone kidnapped her!?

I didn't hesitate to pick up but got nicely greeted by Doctor Miller, the one from te DNA-tests. I sniffed and greeted him too.

"I just got the results from both of the tests, is there any chance you can come to the clinic right now?"

"Can't you tell me on the phone? There is just one thing I need to know, is it a match?" I asked and sat down on the bottom step.

"Umh well...Kaylee Coopers DNA contains cells that matches the on from you Mrs.Cooper. Mr. Jones' DNA didn't had any matching cells-..."

I squeezed my eyes tight and placed my hand on my chest as I waited for confirmation.

"Kaylee Cooper and Forsythe Pendleton Jones III are not related in any way"

I almost choked into my tears, Kaylee wasn't Jugheads. I always told myself she was, turns out I was telling myself lies.

My phone had fell on the floor which caused a major crack in the middle of my screen, but I didn't care.

Suddenly Archie bursted through the back door, he ran towards me and wrapped his arm around my should once he sat next to me.

I immediately fell sideways in his embrace and cried my eyes out. "Betty we'll find her", he told me.

"I..I don't think I...I want to fi..ind her any....anymore", I sobbed.

"What?! Why?! You were so upset that she was missing and know you don't wanna find her", he exclaimed shocked.

Archie pulled out the embrace and looked at me, "H..her DNA cells a..aren't a m..match with Jugheads, so.."

"Jughead is not the father", he finished for me. By the time he knew that his eyes weren't at me anymore, he started at the floor to process what I just told.

A couple moments later he started speaking again, "She's still your daughter, she's still the same person as yesterday"

I calmed down but started to cry again once he said that, "I w..wanted to tell h..him so badly but how can h..he love h..her if she's not even his daughter"

"Even if she doesn't have Jugheads genes they could have things in common", Archie said. I didn't replied I just watched him standing up and reached his hand out for me, I grabbed it and stood up too with his help.

Suddenly a big smile appeared on Archie face, "What is it?" I asked confused.

"Come", he started running outside but I just took mini steps as I followed him. I started at the ground but once outside a familiar voice called my name, "Hi mr. Jone-....OMG"

There was standing Jugheads dad and holding Kaylees hand. "KAYLS", I yelled out relief and ran up to them.

FP was, to my surprise, wearing a police uniform. "Any idea who the parents are?" He asked and looked down at Kaylee who wanted to come to me but FP held her hand tight.

This situation was so fucked up. I looked at Archie who didn't looked back at me and spoke, "Yes sherif Jones Betty and I do"

"Great so I trust you guys and I need to work on a few other cases, could you please bring her home?"

"Yes we can", I said and grabbed Kaylees hand as mr. Jones released it. She opened her mouth to say some but I shushed her before she could call me mommy.

"See you later, Archie, Betty"

"Bye mr. Jones, tell Jughead I love him", I smiled and waved I'm goodbye.

Once he was out of our vision I picked Kaylee up and gave her kisses al over her face, I saw she had cried.

Archie came with us inside to make sure we were both okay. I tried to act normal but something felt different now that I knew she was a mix of me and Malachi.

We all sat down on the couch but Kaylee crawled into my lap. I held her tight and kissed her head as I was so happy that nothing bad had happened.

"Hey Kaylee why didn't you come back when I yelled your name?"

"Sorry mommy, I not heard you"

"But where did you go?", Archie asked Kaylee.

"Went to look for daddy", she said so innocent.

Archie looked at me and saw I was having a hard time so he carried on with the questions.

"Lucie said she and her daddy went swimming", Kaylee told us.

"Oh so you want to go swimming?"

"No I want daddy", she said and looked at me. "Why everyone hawe daddy and I not?"

This was just it she's asking about her dad almost every day, I think I need to prepare myself to tell Jughead.
