Present time ~ Betty's POV ~ 23 March 2019 ~ 7 PM
I was in my bed, on my phone, when Kaylee ran into my room. "PLAAYYYY MOMMY!" She yelled excited.
"I can't play, mommy still needs to rest, remember", I told her. Her excitement dropped and she went to sit on the floor, sobbing.
"Baby...", I said but got cut off by my handsome boyfriend who walked into the room, wearing a black suit.
"I can play with you", he said to Kaylee. She jumped up and continued to jump in front of him.
"Alright, go to your playroom I'll be their in a minute", he said and she did what he asked for. These past week Jug came over a lot, Kaylee loved him and was always super excited when she knew he was coming over.
"How are you?" He asked, walking over to me and kissing me lips quickly.
"I'm good", I replied.
"Great, can you get ready in less then an hour?"
"I mean I can try", I smiled.
Then got out of bed and headed into the bathroom as Jug went to play with Kaylee. Soon I was ready, I looked at the time on my phone I saw we had ten minutes left.
"Jug! I'm ready!" I shouted.
"Ok, wait I come!" He shouted back.
Five seconds later he told me to come out the bathroom so I did. I was wearing a light pink dress that reached just under my knees and matching heels. For my makeup I went for a soft look and not to much. My hair was curled and hanging loose over my shoulders, It's the first time in a while I felt this pretty.
"Wow..I..umh...wow", Jugheads mouth fell open when I stepped outside the bathroom, he was sitting on the edge of my bed with Kaylee In his lap.
I turned around and let my dress fly around me, "Do I look okay?" I asked insecure.
He stood up and placed Kaylee down on the bed. "Okay? You look incredible beautiful", he said, walking over to me.
"Mommy princess!", Kaylee exclaimed.
"Indeed", Jughead said, grabbing my hand and then picking up Kaylee. We walked downstairs where my mom was waiting for us, she shot some pictures and then we left.
Jugheads dad, FP, was waiting for us in his car on the porch. Jug opened the backdoor for me and closed the door after he got in too.
Soon we entered Riverdale High. I looked around, seeing old friends and classmates.
But my thoughts got interrupted by my best friend who pulled me into a hug with Archie by her side, he immediately walked over to Jug and they did like a bro handshake.
"B you look stunning!" Veronica exclaimed, looking up and down my bod.
"Well look at yourself V", I smiled.
"Lady's are you ready to go to senior prom?" Archie asked.
"Yes", we all said excited.
I grabbed Jugs hand and walked into the gym that was filled with seniors, dancing, drinking, chatting, laughing and having fun.
We met Cheryl, Toni, Kevin and Fangs. First we all danced on some faster songs with drinks in our hands.
But then suddenly the music stopped and an older man, I believe it was mr. Honey, walked on stage and started to speak through the microphone.
"Hello students, welcome to senior prom!"
Everyone started yelling and clapping but when I looked behind me I didn't saw Jughead, he was gone.
"Vee, have you seen Jughead?"
She looked around to but shook her head. I just stayed with Archie and Veronica and decided to search for Jughead after the speech from the principle.
"Since everyone already has a boyfriend or girlfriend I decided to skip the elections for king and queen this year so that everyone can have a special dance with their lover. But first give a big applause for Jughead Jones"
I frowned my eyes when Jughead came on stage, Veronica and Archie did too but they also clapped along with the others. He cleared his throat and started speaking.
"Hello seniors, friends, don't worry I'm not gonna give you a live lessons but I just want to share it with everyone", by now he got everyone's attention and it was quiet besides his voice that echoed in the entire gym.
"You all know Betty Cooper, my beloved girlfriend. She disappeared out of no where three years ago. Lots of you made up story's about what could've happened, which I firstly think was very rude. And secondly she was so nice to everyone, she don't deserve all the bad story's that were told about her. In the end Betty came back to me and she brought someone, a little human being. Well I heard people whisper the word slut. But do you know how much work it is the raise a child? Do you know how hard it is to do it alone? And do you know that Betty did such a great job doing all those previous things? That's the reason from this speech, y'all freaking out about college and gaining money. I threw away my college application yesterday because I want to be there for my family. Betty Cooper I love you so much and I want to be there for Kaylee as a father figure"
My eyes became watery at his words, he didn't prepared it on a note, it came out his heart at that very moment.
A huge spotlight was shining on me and people made room for Jughead who jumped off the stage and walked over to me.
"I love you so much", I said once he was there besides me.
"I love you so much more, you have no idea", he said and wrapped his hands around my waist.
Everyone looked at us, even Veronica and Cheryl were sobbing. Normally I hate much attention and it makes me nervous, but Juggie always made me feel safe so I had nothing to be nervous about.
'Jar of hearts' started playing and Jughead and I slowed on the beat along with other couples, but a huge spotlight was on us. My head rested against his chest and I followed his movements.
The song ended too soon, we separated and decided to grab a drink and sit down for a moment.
Time flew by and when the clock hit 12 the principle blew the party off, it was kinda sad because I was having so much fun but it still was school so I kinda understood.
"Shall I bring you home?" Jug asked outside the building.
"I can crash at yours", I suggest instead.
"Oh yea my dad's home...but I don't think he'd mind. I'll call him to pick us up"
"We can walk", I said.
"Are you sure because it's already late?", he asked.
"Yes that's super romantic"
"Okay. I'll do anything for you, literally anything"
I smiled at him which made him smile too. Jughead grabbed my hand and then we started to walk off.
