Present time ~ Betty's POV ~ 5 March 2019 ~ 9 am
Yesterday evening I called Sarah, Lucie's mom. I explained that Kaylee is to little to go to school yet but that she liked playing with Lucie a lot.
She found it a good idea for them to play together so she would drop Lucie off in about an hour because she needed to work.
I on the other hand am always home since I don't have a job and don't go to school anymore.
But I've been thinking, maybe I can finish my studies online or maybe I can get a job at Pops or I can do both, online school during the day and working as a waitress in the evening....pfff I don't know yet.
I went to wake up Kaylee as the pancakes I was making were ready. I carried her down the stairs, her eyes almost closed and a blanket wrapped around her body, and placed her on the couch in front of the tv to eat pancakes together while we cuddled on the couch.
When we finished I put her into comfy, still good looking, clothes and did the same myself.
Not long after we were ready the doorbell rang revealing Sarah and Lucie. A little girl, light brown hair with an adorable smile on her face, but not as adorable as Kaylee.
"Hi come in", I said and opened the door fully.
"I would love to stay and get to know each other but I'm already late for work"
"Lucie have fun with Kaylee and be nice, I will pick you up when I'm done working", Sarah said, gave her daughter a hug and weaved us goodbye as she walked away.
Lucie was a little shy, which was probably because she never was in our house before, so I told Kaylee to take her upstairs and show Lucie her toys.
"I have lot toys, wanna see them?" Kaylee asked, Lucie nodded her head excited.
They both ran up the stairs giggling so I decided to watch some tv and then heading upstairs to to see what they were doing.
Some moments later I found myself tiptoeing up the stairs, I walked in the direction of Kaylees playroom. She still sleeps in the same room as me, separate beds, but her toys didn't fit in the room anymore so my dad and I moved them to the room next door and that is now her playroom.
The door was half open so I peeked in, they were playing with Kaylees barbies and Barbie dreamhouse.
A big smile formed on my face as I saw them playing together and laughing, then suddenly Kaylee spotted me.
She started laughing even harder, "Mommy you want to play with us?"
"No, I'm already leaving. You were having so much fun together", I said and headed downstairs.
Although the girls thought downstairs but I stayed a little longer to hear what they were saying. I have no idea why I did that but I think I just wanted to be sure that I was doing my job as a mom right.
"Look Barbie clothes color change when she swims", Kaylee exclaimed.
"I went swimming yesterday", Lucie said.
"Weally?!"
"Daddy took me to the pool", she explained.
"You have a daddy?", Kaylee asked surprised.
Oh my God....my heart skipped a beat, they were talking about their fathers.
I ran down the stairs because one more daddy-word and I would break down in tears. As soon as I have the results from the DNA test I can tell Jughead about her so she can finally meet her dad.
It was now 6 pm, we all just ate spaghetti and now the girls are playing outside in the garden. I'm watching them and at the same time I'm looking for educations and online classes on my computer.
I just found something interesting, an online education media designer. That basically means making logos and designs for brands.
I started reading he information, it said I would have four days a week 2 hours lesson and exercises for the other days in the week.
It's mostly on my computer which is good because now that I have Kaylee I can't leave everyday for work or school. I didn't hesitate to sing in because they weren't a lot places left yet.
Closing my computer as I sighed happily 'cause I actually found something I liked and I'm excited to start next week.
I looked up at the garden to see two little girls playing together and having fun....but wait! I ONLY SEE ONE LITTLE GIRL.
I started to panic as I didn't heard the voice of the second girl. "Lucie WHERE IS KAYLEE?!", I screamed.
"I don't know"
"Why isn't she with you?!" I didn't meant to scare her and I wasn't mad at all BUT WHERE WAS MY DAUGHTER?!
"We playing hide and seek but can't find her", she mumbled.
"Oh if she's just hiding because there playing that she'll come back when I yell right?" Is what I thought actually I just hoped that it was like that.
"KAAYLEEE! COME BACK TO MOMMY PLEASE!" I yelled and looked around.....but saw nothing.
"KAYLEE!" Still nothing.
"I'm calling Archie", I managed to say as I was panicking.
I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket and dialed his number. "Hey Betty", he spoke happily.
"You have to come to my house, the garden NOW PLEASE", I tried to say but broke down in tears at the end.
"What'-.. I'm on my way", and he stopped the call.
In the time he got here Lucie and I looked around the garden I even yelled her name inside my house but nothing, no sign of Kaylee.
As we were outside again Archie ran in our direction and pulled me into a hug, "Betty what's wrong, are you okay?", He asked worried.
"K..kay..lee", I sobbed.
"She gone", I whispered and sat down in a lawn chair and took Lucie to sit in my lap.
