~Chapter 22~

Present time ~ Jugheads POV ~ 13 March 2019 ~ 3 AM

I stretched my arm and turned around but immediately woke up when I felt that the other side from the bed was empty.

I turned on the night lamp and frowned as Betty was gone. "BETTY!?" I called but got no answer.

It was three in the morning but I was fully awake now since I released something was definitely wrong.

I checked her location because I couldn't find her phone, Fox Forrest, I said. "What that's in the middle of the woods", I mumbled in myself.

Without hesitation I jumped out bed and put on jeans because my jogging pants were gone. I ran outside, into the woods to the location my phone said she was.

On my way I had called Toni, in the first place I wanted to call Sweet Pea but he would think it's a prank. I told her to wait at the edge of the forrest in case I missed Betty.

After running a few minutes through the woods I was near her phones location. I looked around but saw nothing, it was dark and foggy which made it even more difficult to find her.

I decided to call her, suddenly I heard her ringtone from somewhere off the path.

Walking toward it I put on my flashlight and heard quiet groans.

Betty's POV

I lay there for a quit long time, I was still conscious but every blink I did with my eyes was became harder and harder.

My head was spinning and throbbing. Not to forget the cut on my belly, it stopped bleeding a little but I lost lots of it.

Suddenly I heard footsteps coming closer, I though it was Penny again but I had no energy to panic.

Once the person came closer I recognized the body posture and the messy hair.

"J-Juggie", I mumbled through the pain I was feeling in my entire body.

"What happened?!" He exclaimed and crouched down besides me. I kept quiet, knowing that talking was gonna cause more pain.

With all the power I had left, I lifted my hands up to his face and touched it lightly as he was hanging over and sitting on his knees next to me.

He grabbed my hands and kissed them softly as tears were rolling down sideways on my face.

Then he lifted up my shirt that was soaked in blood. "Oh my...", Jughead got cut of by a groan coming from me.

"Hold on", he said.

I tried to stay calm but flinched as he placed a kiss on my cheek. "Everything is gonna be okay my love, I promise", he spoke.

Jugheads POV

I tried to pick her up in bridal style but she winced in pain. "Betts let me help you so I can take you to the hospital", I said and picked her up even though I knew I was hurting her.

I started running because every second was important, she could be there for hours.

I did noticed she started to drift off, "Betty stay awake", I cried, "Stay with me please!"

"Help me Jug", she flickered with her eyes but then closed them again.

I ran now even faster and didn't stopped running when I passed Toni, "DRIVE US TO THE HOSPITAL!" I yelled.
