CHAPTER 24

Aaron's P.O.V

I know I told Naomi whenever she's ready but I lied I can't wait for her to tell me what's going on I'm going to find out myself.

Whatever might push her to do drugs must be a very serious problem and she must need help.

I'm going to do something about it before it becomes too serious.

What I do know is that whatever is wrong has something to do with that Alex.

In a case of crisis I always know exactly what to do. I go and see the people that always know exactly what to do and in this case that's Ayo.

I get up and walk over to Art class I need to speak to Ayo.

"Ayo!" I shout as I enter the class.

"Are you mad? Why are you shouting like that?" someone asks me.

I turn around to face Mr James he's sitting on a desk and marking notes. I didn't even notice him.

"Sorry sir" I say making my way to Ayo's desk who is busy reading.

This guy is such a nerd he could read all day every day.

"What's up?" Ayo asks as I sit on a chair in front of him.

"Nothing much" I say.

I'm suddenly rethinking this whole thing do I really want to bring someone else into this issue.

"Ayo is not someone else. He's basically your brother" my subconciousness says.

"I know but this is Naomi's problem not mine" 

"But it's for her own good" 

"I know but what if she vexes for me because I told Ayo" 

"Can you just fuck her opinions right now" 

"Alright, I'll do just that" 

After engaging in serious battle with my mind, I walk over to where Ayo is sitting.

"Ayo I have a big problem to discuss" I say with all seriousness in my voice.

He closes his textbook instantly and looks at me with a worried expression.

"What's the problem?" he asks.

"Naomi is doing drugs" I say lowering my voice.

"What"! He shouts and I glare at him.

"Keep your voice down" I say still with a quiet voice.

"Sorry. When did you find out?" he asks concern evident in his voice.

I let out a loud sigh then I back up and tell him everything starting from when I read her diary to when I was searching for her phone to read her chats with Alex who I thought was her boyfriend then I saw the pills to when I confronted her in the morning.

"Wow" he says and I can hear the astonishment in his voice.

"It's a lot to take in, so what do you suggest we do?" I ask.

"I think we need to talk to Ruth" he says.

Ruth, that's Naomi's sister. What can she do for us?

"Why, how can she help?" I ask not understanding where he's going with this.

"Sisters tell each other everything. She'll probably know a thing or two and plus she'll be able to keep an eye on Alex for us" he explains.

I nod in agreement. I just hope this plan doesn't backfire.
