"Guy wait, I dey come" I say to Ayo.

Then I rush out of the line to the car park. I look around but Naomi and Alex are gone already.

I go back to where I parked my car then I unlock the doors and get in.

I get my phone and immediately dial Noami's number and just like I expected she doesn't pick up.

I call her again still no response.

I'm about calling again when she sends a text.

I turn off my phone in annoyance. Why all these lies?

I slam my hands against my steering wheel in utter frustration.

I just sit there in allowing the silence of the cr to engulf me.

Someone opens the back seat, I turn around in shock and I see Ayo, who looks very annoyed.

He throws the shopping bags into the car then he comes over and seats in the passenger seat not saying a word to me.

He's probably vexing.

"Ayo" I say facing him.

He ignores me. Typical Ayo behaviour.

"Why are you acting like a woman, if you are vexed just talk" I say.

"See, if you don't want to drive, tell me. I will walk" he says.

I let out a sigh then turn on the car and drive out of the parking lot.

I put on the radio and allow the music to replace the uncomfortable silence that we sat in.

"Sorry I left you that time, I have a good reason though" I say tapping my fingers on the steering.

"What's your reason?" he asks.

"I saw Alex" I say in a low voice.

He doesn't say anything for a while, then he speaks up.

"Was he alone?" he asks.

"Nope, he was with Naomi" I say with sadness lacing my voice.

Truth is, I don't even know why I was sad.

Maybe it's because she lied to me.

Maybe it's because I fell she's in danger.

"How are sure are you that it was him?" he asks.

Ayo is always so sceptical, making sure he carefully analyses everything.
