Aaron's P.O.V

Time seemed to punish me by moving slow as I thought about her. It's been a week since we started dating and it has been amazing.

I was supposed to go to her house today to read but she's going for a programme in church so I have to wait till tomorrow which is Monday by the way, meaning we'll be busy.

Exams will be starting on Wednesday and I'm really vexed. Actually, I'm sad because after exams we'll go on holiday and Naomi is travelling and I'm also travelling. I won't get to spend Christmas with her.

I sigh heavily and move from my window where I was standing and crash on my bed.

I pick up my phone and dial her number. I put the phone on speaker and wait patiently for her to pick up. Okay, not too patiently.

It rings but she doesn't pick up. Weird, Naomi picks up her calls all the time.

I call her again, no response.

Maybe she's just busy.

I really want to speak to her, I feel like she's in danger that's why I've been thinking about her.

God please protect her I pray inwardly.

There's a knock on my door.

"Come in" I say sitting up.

My door opens and Adrien walks in with Ayo following behind him.

"When was the last time you cleaned this place?" My brother asks scrunching up his nose.

Ayo walks over and sits on my bed and we do our bro handshake.

"I don't know midterm break" I say trying to remember.

He shakes his head and sits on the couch.

My brother is an extremely neat person, he never loses anything. He got that trait from my mum. She was a very clean person. The house was always in tip top shape when she was alive.

Adrien still cleans the house when he's around. He's usually at Bimbo's house.

"Dad is coming home tomorrow" Adrien says facing me.

I hear Ayo groan beside me. I don't even ask why because I already know the reason.

My dad doesn't like him so when my dad is around he can't come over here.

I wonder why the man is even coming home. He's never here, always travelling about. I'm used to it.

I'll just go over to Bimbo's house and stay there until he leaves. I wish Bimbo's parents could even adopt me sef so I can have parents.

Maybe I'll asks Aunty Lola about it.

"Something is wrong with your countenance" Adrien says to me.

"I noticed it too, are you alright?" Ayo asks.

I hiss inwardly. These two always acting like they can see through me or something. It's so funny and low-key insane that I can't hide anything from them.
