Chapter Ten

(Ashley's POV)

No way. Dallas walked in and who's
behind him? Sylvia! Just when I think he might like me too! He crawls right back to the snake. I heard the boys yelling at him and he just stared at me. I looked him dead in the eyes. I felt the warm tears start to come.

I stood up and walked to Soda's room.
How could he make me feel like this. Excited yet afraid to see him? I hate it. I am going to that party tonight and no one is stopping me.

I got up and walked out of the room.
"Bye everyone I'm going home." I started out the door.
"Bye Ash." Sylvia hissed. Dallas stood up to follow me onto the porch.

"Ash?" He asked.
"Yeah? What do you want?" I replied coldly.
"I just I need to talk to you okay?" He gave me a pleading look before Sylvia joined us on the porch.

"What's going on? What've I missed?"
"Nothing I'm leaving." I stomped off the porch and towards my house. I overheard a 'good' out of Sylvia. It took all of me not to go back and punch her.

I finally reached home. I hadn't been home in two days. And I never called.
"Mom?" I was really nervous.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" She was yelling really loud. I've never really been yelled at. My dad walked up.

"Mom I'm really sorry. Dad I'm sorry." I just put my head down to the floor and started fake crying. It wasn't all fake though... next thing I knew they pulled me into a hug.
"Oh hunny I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell! I was just worried." She patted my head.
"No I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was and I forgot to call!!" I kept playing innocent. They just snuggled me and made sure I was okay.

"I have a question."
"Sure what is it pumpkin?" Dad asked. I was really hoping they would take this well.
"Well... there's this party I'm DYING to go to..?" They had a look of shock but understood why I wanted to go.
"I think that's okay as long as you stay safe." My mom was a yes.
"Just please be careful. We love you." My dad pulled me into another hug!
"I love you too dad."
