Chapter ThirtyThree

(Ashley's POV)

"Jackson. Could you do me a favor?"
"Sure what is it?" I looked at him.
"Could you make sure Dally's okay for me? I just wanna know he's alright." I said. He sighed and waited a long time.

"I'm such an idiot aren't I?" I laughed but nodded a bit and he laughed. "Ash I'm sorry. I'm crazy. They're putting me on more meds soon. I thought if I just had time with you I could change your mind. But that's not gonna happen is it?" I shook my head and he nodded and had tears in his eyes. "Ash I'm sorry."
He pulled me into a hug.

"Jackson, why are you even on meds?" He looked at me sadly.
"Well, I was beaten by my dad as a kid and my mom wanted to make sure I didn't turn out like him, yet here I am." We sat there in silence for a minute. "I'm going to get you out of here. We just need to get rid of Sylvia and you're free."
"Wait really?" I asked, shocked. He nodded.
"No matter what I do I can't make you love me and stop loving him. I want what's best for you Ash. And if that's him, so be it."

He took my hand and led me out. We went across a dark hall.
"Sylvia should be out right now. Stay here." He peaked inside a room. I heard Dallas yell at him.
He turned back to me. "Go see him."

I ran into the room and into Dally's arms.
He held me tight. "Oh my BabyGirl." I cried into his shoulder. Jackson came over and let him go.
Dal picked me up. "So you're helping us now?" He was confused.
"Yeah she really loves you. Don't take her for granted."

He looked at me with loving eyes. "I won't."
He led us up and out of the basement. We were under a store called Clark's on the Soc side of town.
"Wait what about Sylvia?" Dallas asked.
"I'll handle her." Jackson said.
"Thank you Jackson." Jackson smiled sadly but nodded. He came up and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Take good care of her Winston."
"I will." He took my hand and we ran off.
