Soft Heart | Tsukishima [COMPLETED]

Chapter 5

Yuki woke up Monday morning to the sun peeking through her open curtains that she forgot to close the night before.

She turned over in her bed and checked the time on her phone.

5:45.

'Well, no point in going back to sleep now' she thought to herself as she got out of bed, walking over to the kitchen part of her dorm room, looking for something to eat.

Unfortunately for her, there was nothing. She hadn't gone out shopping in a while because she didn't feel like leaving campus by herself.

Sigh. 'Nothing I can do about it now, i suppose' she said to herself, as she slipped on her uniform and grabbed her money she got from her mother for food, her headphones and keys and walked out the door to head for the store.

She slipped the headphones over her head and looked down at her phone to choose a song. When she finally picked one, she closed her eyes as she walked down the sidewalk, absorbing every part of the music. The lyrics, the tune, the beat, the feeling it gave her when she listened to it.

She started to hum along to the tune and sway to the beat as she walked, until she was abruptly stopped due to running into a wall. Or atleast that's what she thought it was.

She opened her eyes to see a black jacket directly in front of her face, and her eyes trailed up to see a tall, blondie staring down at her smirking.

"Oi, watch where you're going, clutz"

Tsukishima.

Standing next to him was Yanaguchi, and another guy that she had never met before. He had black hair, cut short on his head, and he was tall, although not as tall as Tsukishima.

"Hayashi-San?' Yamaguchi was the first to speak up, "What are you doing here so early?"

"O-Oh. Nothing really. I just need to go grocery shopping. I should really get going." She smiled and bowed, walking past the boys towards the store.

Yamaguchi looked shocked and Tsukishima just started walking towards the school, uninterested in the conversation.

"Well, wait a minute!" The unfamiliar boy called out to her, "are you going there by yourself?" He questioned.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude, but do I know you?" She tilted her head to the side but gave a small smile, nonetheless.

"Oh! My bad!" He bowed to the younger girl in front of him, "I'm Daichi Sawamura, Third year, Captain of the Volleyball Team! It's nice to meet you"

Volleyball team?

"O-oh, hi. I'm Hayashi Yuki."she introduced herself, "And yes I'm going by myself, why do you ask?"

Daichi looked over at the two boys next to him, "why don't one of you go to help her? You already know her already, right? She might need help bringing groceries back since she's just going by herself"

"N-no! I mean, it's fine. I should be okay. I don't want to inconvienence anyone." She blushed, as much as she didn't want to admit it, she did wish she could get some help, especially since she wanted to pick up enough groceries to last her until she went back home in a few weeks.

"Oh don't worry about it" Daichi waved, "Yamaguchi, how about you?"

"U-Um, actually, Tsukki, could you do it? I would like to work on my serves." He replied, "Sorry, hayashi-San"

She nodded and smiled at him letting him know that he shouldn't worry about it. She wasn't the one asking for help anyway.

"Whatever" Tsukishima sighed as he turned around to walk with Yuki.
