The week had passed and it was fianlly time for Yuki to pack up her stuff and go home for a litte while. The week had been weird for the girl. Just when she thought her and Tsukishima were becoming friends, he started behaving strangley around her.Instead of the typical snarky or saracstic from the blonde boy, he remained mostly quiet for the majority of the week. After a few days, Yuki had quit trying to figure out why. If he didn't want to be friends with her then she wasn't even going to put the effort in to be friends with him.
Despite this, when Yuki was packing her room up, she heard a knock on the door, and when she opened it, she stared up to see the tall boy standing in her doorway, out of breath and sweaty as if he had just ran a long way.
"Hayashi-San" He choked out between breaths. "Good, you're still here" He moved him arm up to his forehead, wiping the sweat, all while stepping into Yuki's room, adn taking his shoes off.
"U-Uh, are you okay?" Yuki asked Tsukishima, with a concerned look in her eyes.
"Yes, I just need to sit." He spoke as he made his way over to the couch and sat down, catching his breath.
Yuki also took a seat on the couch, a few feet away from Tsukishima. "Why are you so out of breath?" She asked.
"I ran here" He admitted, looking away, attempting to hide the obvious blush hiding on his cheeks and the tips of his ears, "I wanted to make sure I caught you before you left."
"But Tsukishima, you could've just texted me to make sure I was still here before you ran all the way here and almost died, idiot" She teased, and playfully punched his shoulder.
It felt odd to be like this again after once again not talking for a week. She wondered if it was okay.
"Yeah...I guess you're right."
"Anyway, what did you need anyway?" She questioned, but her face soon contorted to look angry at the boy in front of her, "You come to apologize for being a jerk this week?"
He winced at the accusation, but quickly returened to the uninterested Tsukishima as always, "Actually, yes" He looked down at his hands, unsure of what to say to the girl.
Ever since the day where he found out that the girl Yuki was looking for, he knew all along, he has been trying to find ways to tell her without her getting upset. He didn't know why he cared so much, this wasn't his issue, but he knows that if Tsukishima told her, she would cry.
And he hated when she cried.
"I'm sorry for being a jerk, Hayashi-san." He snapped his head up and stared Yuki directly into her eyes, "I guess I was just worried about getting closer to someone who might not come back."
Yuki opened her eyes in amazament.
'Is Tsukishima really opening up to me right now?" She thought to herself, never thinking that the day would come when the boy would make himself vulurnable.
"You sound like me Tsukishima..." She chuckled
"I told you...we're alike in more ways than you thought." he repied softly, still feeling embarrased about his confession of trying to catch her before she left for home.
"You're ridiculous Tsukishima..." She smiled lightly at him reached over to rest a comforting hand on his shoulder. He looked down at her hand and then back into her eyes as she said, "We're friends now, and you know how I feel about that, so what were you thinking?"
"Friends? Don't get ahead of yourself." He deadpanned, but then quickly softened his face into a small smile, "But I guess I was thinking I wanted you to come back next semester"
