Yvette Clancy - book 2 (Harry Potter / Voldemort's daughter fan fic)

Chapter 13

~the 31st November~

"Wake up!" Yvette whisper-shouted to Clarissa. "Why...?" Clarissa groaned groggily. "Because it's time to get the dew!" Yvette said shaking Clarissa so she would wake up. "Ok fine, I'm getting up," Clarissa moaned getting out of bed and trying to flatten down her hair while doing it. They got dressed and sneaked out of the common room. "It's 4am, correct?" Clarissa asked when they were wandering down the corridor. "Yup," Yvette said popping the 'p'. "Okay that's a good time for dew and hopefully no idiots will have come and stepped on it." Clarissa said. This process was very much based on luck. The girls very soon made it to their clearing. It looked beautiful at this time of day. The bushes were coated in a light layer of dew which shined silver when the light hit it. They brought out some vials to put it in (also "borrowed" from Snape's stores) and started carefully sliding the dew in the vials. This was a long and delicate process as they did not want to waste a single drop of dew.

Very soon it was bordering on 5am and the girls decided to head back and put the dew in Clarissa's special chest. Sadly, on their way back they almost ran into Filtch so they had to run the rest of the way back to the common room put never once was a drop of dew spilt. When entering the dorm they saw an angry Hermione at the dorm. "Oh your back," She said obviously not impressed. "Yeah Hermione if you can let us in for a sec, we can talk to you then," Clarissa said trying to weave past her. "No we talk here and now," Hermione said firmly blocking her path. "Seriously, you may mess up the whole process we've been working on for a month," Yvette said. Hermione raised an eyebrow,"very well be right back though," before letting them through. Yvette and Clarissa carefully put the vials in the chest and checked everything was there. Crystal vial that receives pure rays of the moon, check. Dew, check. Chrysalis, check. "I think we should make the potion under the full moon's rays," Clarissa said. It was predicted to be a clear night tonight hopefully it will work better under the full moon directly. "Okay, we wait until tonight then," Yvette said. "One more thing, we need to find the perfect dark place," Clarissa said referring from the book. "We'll do that while everyone's having lunch," Yvette said. When everything was sorted out they returned to Hermione.

"So why have you been sneaking out so much?" She asked. "We've been working on a project," Clarissa said keeping it vague. "What project?" Hermione asked. "A transfiguration project," Clarissa said, technically it was advanced transfiguration. "No transfiguration project we've been set involves sneaking out," Hermione said accusingly. "It's extra credit," Yvette mumbled. Hermione glared at them,"just tell me I promise I won't tell, I've done my fair share of sneaking out this term too," she said. "Fine," Clarissa said sighing,"We're becoming animagi." Hermione gasped,"But that's so dangerous!!" Yvette shook her head,"We are aware of the risks," she said Hermione gave them a worried look,"I know you guys are smart, but don't mess this up things can go horribly wrong," she said. "Says you, your making a polyjuice potion, that can go horribly wrong too," Clarissa said smirking. "It was you guys who stole those ingredients!" Yvette said in disbelief. Hermione blushed,"Uh yeah.." She muttered. Yvette then turned to face Clarissa,"Why do you never tell me this stuff?" She asked  annoyed that Clarissa hadn't shared her theory. "Because your too incompetent to understand," Clarissa said. "Rude," Yvette said walking off in the direction of the common room. "Well, see you around Hermione!" Clarissa said cheerfully also walking off in the direction of the common room.

The girls were tense all through their classes even Clarissa wasn't paying attention and they got caught out many times. "Clarissa!"McGonagall said annoyed,"were you paying attention?" Clarissa suddenly looked up and saw McGonagall staring at her and gulped. "Erm sorry," She said. McGonagall just gave her a puzzled look before repeating the question,"Last lesson we started working on the spell to turn rabbits into slippers may you please demonstrate as you complete the assignment last lesson." Clarissa did the spell and her rabbits turned into slippers, which was no surprise to anyone as she had been second, to Hermione, to do it. Clarissa looked at Yvette and remembered last lesson where they had charmed their rabbits to walk around saying "we are rabbits and are very cute and fluffy" over and over again. But they were both too nervous and excited to do the potion later this evening to mess around in class. Clarissa was slowly calculating everything they had done making sure she made no mistakes. But they would find out this evening.

~lunch time~

Clarissa and Yvette walked out of potions having been told off several times for not concentrating and both messing up their potions (Snape was puzzled why Clarissa had performed so badly). But now it was time to find the perfect place to hide their potion. Firstly they went to grab Clarissa's special case with all the ingredients inside just in case someone came to search their dorm because of their unusual behaviour. They then sneaked into the forest. It wasn't that hard because no one was in the grounds as it was November. The used the walking in a straight line tactic again but in a different location. Most of the forest was dark because the towering trees blocked out all the light but they wanted to go fairly deep into the forest so no one would accidentally stumble across it. On the way they heard many noises of creatures, like the hoot of an owl or snarl of a dog, but never did anything approach them. Eventually when they thought they were deep enough in the forest they dug a small hole that they would bury the vial in and placed the case in a bush out of sight, carefully though so none of the vials broke. They then briskly walked out of the forest, they had never been that deep before and knew this was animal's territory.

~That evening~

After a couple more classes where the girls didn't pay attention and dinner, it was finally time for them to venture out into the forest. Everyone had asked why they didn't attend lunch and were concerned why they were not paying attention in lessons, but they just said they weren't feeling that well but would soon get better, which everyone believed, except McGonagall and Snape of course. They then sneaked out of the castle and found the spot where they had made camp. As the get rays from the full moon they went to a nearby clearing and poured in the ingredients in the correct order, referring to the book, not forgetting the leaf, which had still been stuck to their mouth until now and a single hair from their heads. When everything had been added they buried the vials but put a marking on the ground so they would remember this place and all they could do now is wait, saying Amato Animo Animato Animagus every sunrise and sunset until an electrical storm.

a/n

the first step to becoming an animagus is complete!! Ik becoming an animagus is hard and second years shouldn't be able to do it but I need it for my plot line so I'm doing it anyway. Comment what you think Clarissa and Yvette's animagus will be?? Also, Fred George and Lee don't know the girls are doing this the only person who knows is Hermione. Sorry there wasn't anything of them in this chapter but hopefully in the next one they will come up.
