Chapter 19

Everyone noticed the sudden tension between Yvette and Clarissa as they did not sit near each other nor communicate in any way during their lessons. When lunch rolled around Clarissa went and sat at the Ravenclaw table with Ella and her friends and Yvette the Slytherin table with her new boyfriend, Theodore Nott from their year.

"Hey Yvette," Theo said. "Hey," Yvette said sitting down next to him. "Why is she here?" someone grumbled. "Because I can," Yvette snapped not eating anything. Draco then sat down next to her. "Wow Yv you really are trying to date every boy in this whole entire house," He said smirking. "Shut it," Yvette grumbled. "Trying to make yourself feel better cause little Clarissa thinks your a-" Yvette then jumped up and stormed out of the hall very pissed off.

"Hi Clarissa!" Ella said moving along so Clarissa could sit down. "Oh hi," Clarissa said sitting down. "What's wrong?" Ella asked. "Oh nothing I'm just tired," Clarissa said. "Oh that's a shame, but did I tell you about my new boyfriend!?" Ella asked obviously excited about the subject. "Yes actually," Clarissa said through gritted teeth. "But I didn't tell you a lot," Ella said sounding a little disappointed that Clarissa wasn't as interested as she was. "You told me quite enough-" Clarissa started. "So guess what? Well he actually lives in New York and goes to Ilvemorny like you did!" Ella interrupted. "Oh, what's his name?" Clarissa asked not that bothered and wanting to change the subject. "Ace Beckett," Ella said. Clarissa looked horrified for a moment.

"Oh look the little mouse is hiding out!" Ace taunted. Clarissa had fashioned herself a little hideout underneath a broken bit of wall where she was reading, but sadly she had been discovered. "What do you want?" Clarissa asked, grumpily. "I want you to give me my wand back," Ace hissed. "Your the one who chucked it at me while trying to beat me up," Clarissa said producing a sleek wand from her robes. "And, that's stealing," Ace said. "No technically you gave it to me, thank you by the way, so technically I own this now," Clarissa said. "Just give it back," Ace said. "Why should I? All you've done is bully me you don't deserve anything," Clarissa said. Ace then snarled and kicked Clarissa extremely hard so she doubled over in pain coughing. He then grabbed back his wand before running away. Clarissa just sat there sobbing in pain clutching her stomach unable to move.

"Ace said you were the smartest girl in your year and you two were like best friends," Ella said a wide smile on her face, she thought she was reuniting lost friends or something. "Uh we weren't friends the nicest thing he ever did to me was kicking me in the stomach," Clarissa said. "Your lying!" Ella said accusingly. "You know what, go ahead and believe your stupid boyfriend, but I can tell you for a fact that that boy bullied me for a year of my life so badly that I had to move schools not just schools but countries, he wasn't the only one obviously but he was by far the worst!" Clarissa said storming out of the great hall. Ella sat there a shocked look on her face before walking out herself.

Yvette was sat in moaning Murtle's bathroom feeling sorry for herself when Clarissa entered. "Oh your here," Clarissa muttered, tears already streaming down her face. "What happened?" Yvette asked. "Ella and her stupid boyfriend happened," Clarissa said sitting down next to her. "Who is her boyfriend anyway?" Yvette asked. "Only the guy who bullied me last year," Clarissa said. Yvette winced,"oh she had bad taste," she said. "Says you, going out with Theodore Nott this time?" Clarissa said teasingly. Yvette chuckled. "I didn't even know he existed before he asked me out, the desperate git," Yvette said. "Why did you say yes?" Clarissa asked. "Oh I thought it would make you angry or something," Yvette said. "So when are you going to break up with him?" Clarissa asked. "Dunno," Yvette said obviously not bothered. "Why are you in here?" Clarissa asked as it had not been addressed before. "Malfoy," Yvette said, no explanation needed. "Oh, right he seems to be the source of every problem," Clarissa said. "Except your one with Ella," Yvette said.

"So sad, you two sitting in a bathroom hiding from the worlds problems," The voice of no other than Malfoy said from the doorway. "Shut it," Yvette said. "So sad, have you seen your muggle-born girlfriend lately Ace said he's been giving her a hard time," Malfoy said. Clarissa sat up an excited look on her face. "Of course! You know Ace, he told you about Avery!" Clarissa said. "Avery is your girlfriend?" Yvette asked confused. "Hell no, I'm pretty sure she's straight," Clarissa said. "Why did Malfoy say she was your girlfriend then?" Yvette asked. "Because... Ace always said we were together and teased me about it," Clarissa said looking down a single tear dripping down her cheek remembering the memory.

"You know you guys are so gay, I can't believe your not a couple yet," Ace said a sneer on his face. "You know your so annoying that I can't believe you have any friends," Avery said back. "Also being gay isn't a bad thing," Clarissa added. Ace laughed,"Your both really ugly and stupid, no one will ever like you except from each other so I guess that's why I know you'll end up together," he said smirking. Clarissa self-consciously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Your so sad you make other people upset just to make yourself feel better!" Avery said grabbing Clarissa's hand and pulling her away.

"What did he say about giving Avery a hard time?" Yvette asked. "I don't know but it doesn't sound good," Clarissa said a grim look on her face. Yvette nodded. They both got up, exiting the bathroom as friends.
