"Raven, it's almost time to leave!"

I sigh, my mother's annoying voice trailing away as she moved through our annoying new home in our annoying new town. If it isn't obvious, I did not want to move here.

My dad's job required us to move (again) into a small town in Texas called Georgetown. There is almost nothing to do here, besides walk the boring streets or go to boring gas stations. Yeah, I've only been here a week, but I know that nothing could possibly make me want or like to stay here. On top of everything, my parents are making me go to a gymnastics class to "meet new people". I don't want to meet new people, and I've never done gymnastics in my life! All I want is to go back home and be with my friends again.

Before I can continue that thought, my mom's voice begins yelling again, reminding me that we have to leave now. I roll my big, beautiful, blue eyes towards the ceiling, letting out another sigh. Tonight was going to be horrible; I mean, what did my parents expect to happen? I go to this gymnastics class and come back home madly in love? Highly unlikely.

On the way out the door, I grab my coat from a hook. I slip it on, ignoring the fact that it does not match my black and pink leotard. Sliding into the back of my father's Range Rover, I pull my long, brown hair into a pony, tying it securely.

"Ya know, Raven, I think this whole gymnastics class could be really good for you," My father says from the front seat.

I roll my eyes (one of my many talents) and reply, "Yeah, totally agree. I'll probably walk into the class and immediately be greeted by the love of my life, who will make me realize that this boring town is worth staying in." I roll my eyes again after finishing, just to make sure that my reply has an appropriate amount of teen angst.

My dad laughs. "Highly unlikely."
