Marth's POV: Room Mate

  "Marth!"

I scanned the masses of Smashers, Assist Trophies, and what not, looking for the source of the voice.

  "Over here, Blue Boy!"

That had to be Roy. He was the only one who dared call me Blue Boy. And that was only because he was my closest friend. And I mean closest.

I eventually spotted him, thanks to his bright red hair. He was with a couple of my other friends, Ike, the Miis, whom we just called Gunner, Sword, and Brawl, and Corrin. Unlike my siblings, who hung out with weirdos like Robin, I was popular and I used it. Roy, Ike, Gunner, Sword, Brawl, and Corrin were my friends. Most other Smashers knew me, but they were more like acquaintances.

I smiled and made my way over to them.

"How you doin' bro?" Sword asked me. (Yes I know that the Miis don't talk! Just deal with it!)

"Good. My brain's a bit fried, but that comes with hanging around my siblings too much. Plus I just had to spend the last fifteen minutes in Robin's company."

Corrin made a face. "That sucks."

Ike frowned. He was friends with Robin. But then, he was friends with practically everyone. "Robin's not so bad."

Roy rolled his eyes. "Right. 'Not so bad.' Sure."

"He's really not, at least once you get to know him."

"That's impossible. He drowns you in facts and boring stuff long before then," I said. "But let's not talk about this. We're here to have fun, not talk about people like Robin."

Ike clearly didn't like how we were referring to Robin, but he dropped it. I'm glad he did. We were here to have a good time.

"Okay," Brawl said. "I've managed to clear the gym for a reunion party for just us and some friends. Meet me there in twenty. If you want to invite someone, go ahead. Just don't be late."

"I'll be there," I promised. The others did too. I wonder if can find someone to take.

I hated climbing up all those blasted stairs. Ganondorf and Bowser were clearly hogging the elevators with their friends just because they wanted to make life difficult for everyone else.

It's really a shame that even schools sponsored by Smash had bullies. Bowser and Ganondorf were here really just because they had a big reputation and lots of brute force.

I guess Robin does have his occasional uses. At least I didn't have to lug my bags up these stairs.

When I finally got to my room, I was out of breath. Way out of breath. Climbing up about four story's worth of stairs sucks. I knocked on my door to see if my room mate was here this time. To my partial surprise, they were. He had spiky blond hair, blue eyes, bluish-black cloths, and a huge sword. Like, really big. I wondered how he could even use that thing.

"Room mate?" he asked. His voice was monotone.

  "Yup."

"Alright." He stepped back into the room and I followed. Because of the stuff strewn everywhere, I assumed he was unpacking. Which was strange. Most of us did that at the end of the day, when we were all forced to retire to our rooms thanks to curfew.

"Why are you unpacking? Don't you have friends to meet?"

He just gave me a blank stare before answering. "I have no friends here. This is my first year."

"Oh." That gave me an idea. "Well, since you don't have anything to do, how would you like to come to me the cafeteria?"

  "It's reserved for some party."

"Yeah, I know. I'm attending. And I have officially invited you."

He gave me another stare, except it was one of surprise.

  "What?"

"I've never been invited to a party before."

This time I was the one to stare. It was a look of disbelief.

"Well then, we better get you to that party."

***

"What exactly is this party for?" Cloud asked me. "And what am I supposed to do at it?"

I couldn't even imagine my life without parties. It was quite strange trying to explain it to someone who hadn't ever gone to one. I'd never even thought that there were people who hadn't gone to parties.

"Well, the whole point of a party is to have fun. It's like a celebration of sorts," I began as we hurried through the corridors. "This particular party is celebrating our reunion. It's been months since most of us have seen each other, so Brawl organized a party to celebrate our return and the beginning of a new year."

  "Who's Brawl?"

"He's one of the Miis. We just call him Brawl because his fighting style is hand to hand combat. Depending on the battle, he can chance his appearance, and even switch out with his other form, which is opposite gender."

  "That's cool, I suppose."

"We're getting of topic. Anyway, how do you act at a party? Just... enjoy it, I guess. Like I said before, you go there to have a good time. And since you don't have friends, this is a great chance to make some. Well, I mean friend here. You do have friends, right?"

I half expected to say no.

  "Yes, I have some."

  "Cool. Basically, just have fun."

We were almost to the gym.

"It's been a long time since I had time to 'have fun'."

I stopped. "What?" We were just out the gym doors.

"It's been a long time since I had time to 'have fun'." Cloud repeated.

"Like how long?" This guy's life was waaay different from mine.

He shrugged. "Can't say for sure."

  I just stared at him.

His blank expression turned a little darker. "Besides, sometimes I think I don't deserve to have fun." And without another word, he turned to the doors and opened them.

Ah, well, here it is. 978 words. Sorry for the skipping around. Anyway, there's a bit o' Marth and Cloud.

Marth: What is this place? I wish to return and party with my friends.

Me: Sorry, I don't know how you got here. You'll return when I start writing the next chapter.

Marth: What?! That's unacceptable!

Me: I don't control the magic stuff that's causing this.

Cloud: Who are you?

Me: Nice to meet you too. I'm the author, but the others call me Em.

Marth: Others?

Me: Yes, the ones who I put in the chapters. You know, Chrom, Robin, Zelda, Shulk, Pit, Dark, etc, etc.

Marth: Oh, I see.

Cloud: I don't. Who's Chrom, Robin, Zelda, Shulk, Pit, and Dark?

Me: Wow, you were paying close attention. And don't worry, you'll know who they are eventually.

Cloud: Why eventually?

Me: Because I say so. To those reading, thanks a lot. Don't forget to comment, vote, share with your friends, and follow! Bye!

Marth: Good bye.

Cloud: ...

Me: What, no farewell to the readers?
