We arrived about ten minutes later and Alan and I were already dreading the boat ride. Elizabeth wasn't there yet, thank God. His family were getting the boat into the water while Alan and I sat on a rock and were stressing out.

"You didn't tell your mom that you guys broke up?" I asked him.

"I told her but I guess she didn't hear me since she was focused on her responsibilities." Alan said.

I sighed and put my head in my hands.

"I have an idea." I said.

"What?" Alan asked.

"We can leave before she gets here." I said as I quickly stood up.

"Great. But how are we going to do that if my parents are waiting for her?" Alan asked.

"Distraction?" I asked.

"How will we-?"

"Alan!" We heard Elizabeth exclaim happily.

I was tempted to drag her over to the water and throw her in but I figured that I was probably going to fall in after her because of my clumsiness. She ran over to Alan and gave him a huge hug. The thought of throwing her in the water was starting to sound like a great idea.

"Get off of me." Alan said sternly as he gently pushed her off of him.

She looked a little shocked for a second but her expression quickly changed. I couldn't help but smile.

"What are you smiling at, dork?" She asked me, looking like she was going to kill me.

"Oh nothing. I was just thinking about how much of an idiot you are." I said as I shrugged, my smile growing a little wider.

"Why you little-." She began.

"Elizabeth! Sweety, how are you?" Mrs. Stirling exclaimed as she jogged over to us.

Elizabeth's expression changed to a smile very quickly. She greeted her with a hug. Alan and I both groaned as she talked to Mrs. Stirling about her day.

"That sounds great! Hopefully this boat ride can make your day even better!" She said happily.

"Oh don't worry," Elizabeth said as she turned to me and smiled, "it will."

'What does she mean by that?' I wondered.

"Well come on! The boat is already in the water." She said.

We all began to follow her to the boat.

"This is a big boat." I said once we got on.

A wall with windows seperated the driver and some other seats inside from the back of the boat. I am going to be honest here. It looked a lot better and bigger than I thought it would.

"Yes ma'am. It can hold up to about fifteen people. There are seats out here and some seats in that little room." She said as she pointed at room with the driver's seat and about seven seats inside.

"Wow! That's awesome!" I said with a dorky smile on my face.

Mrs. Stirling chuckled at my reaction and nodded.

"Come on. Let's go sit." She said as she walked up to the room. Elizabeth followed her and before I could go in Alan grabbed my wrist.

"I don't have a good feeling about this. Stick with me the whole time, okay?" Alan whispered to me.

I felt my cheeks heat up a little bit but I nodded. He then let go of my wrist and we went inside the room and sat in some seats that were next to each other. Elizabeth walked over to us and sat next to Alan, putting her arm through his.

'Thou shall not murder.' I kept repeating to myself.

"So how is your family, Angie?" Mr. Stirling asked me with a smile as he started the boat.

"They're doing pretty good. My brother came home for a while which was really nice." I said.

"That's good!" Mr. Stirling said with a smile.

We all began to have random conversations and it was actually pretty enjoyable, except for the fact that Elizabeth was here of course.

About thirty minutes later I stood up and told them that I was going to go to the back of the boat to get some fresh air. Alan gave me a worried look but I just smiled at him and gave him a look that let him know that I was going to be okay.

I walked outside and closed the little door behind me, leaving me with the sound of silence. I looked back and saw them talking to one another. The boat was floating in the water, staying in the same spot.

I lifted my cap a little bit so I could see what was ahead of me a little better. Seagulls were flying above me and the sun was shining on the water. I sighed and watched the water shimmer in the sunlight.

"He never loved you by the way." Elizabeth said after I heard the door close.

I quickly turned around and scowled at her.

"You're a liar." I said as I crossed my arms.

She laughed and shook her head. I was tempted to pounce on her and hurt her but I forced myself to stay put. She chuckled and shook her head.

"You were the one that got him drunk." I spat.

"Yeah, you're right about that. But, it was fun." She said, smiling cruelly.

"You're a monster." I said, gritting my teeth.

"How rude of you to call me a monster." She said as she frowned.

She reached over for a small metal rod that was on the boat. I stiffened as she walked towards me with it in her hands.

"I told you you would regret expelling me and ruining my relationship with Alan." She said.

She raised the rod up in the air and slammed it down. Thankfully my brain told my body to dive to the right. She groaned and turned to me.

"Please make this easy for me." She pleaded as she tried to hit me once again.

I quickly dodged and called out for help. No one seemed to hear me or see me. I turned and quickly rolled away from the rod that was about to hit my head.

I got up and ran at her. I was able to grab hold of the rod and I began to push her towards the edge of the boat. She grinned evilly and kicked me in the shin. I yelled in pain and she hit it again with the metal rod. Pain shot through my body and I screamed in agony. I crawled on the floor and grabbed the seat to help myself up. I couldn't even stand on the leg that she hit.

She came at me and hit me in the arm. As I yelled in pain she took the opportunity to shove me into the water. I couldn't breathe at all. I cried and tried to swim up but the pain in my leg and arm were almost unbearable. I began to sink. I then saw a watery figure of Alan run outside of the small room. He quickly shoved Elizabeth out of the way. The last thing I saw was my best friend diving into the water and swimming towards me.
