I wake with a groan, immediately met by a harsh pain in my neck. My breaths feel light and raspy, my chest rising and falling unsteadily. I look to my right, hearing the irritating beeping of my heart rate.

I sit up slowly, wincing in pain.

"She's awake." a voice whispered.

"That's good. Loki woke up not long ago." another person added.

I attempt to speak, but all that could be heard was a weak squeak of air.

"I wouldn't speak if I were you, you have clearly done a lot of damage." a woman chuckled, "They're all waiting for you to leave for Midgard, do you feel okay to leave?" she asked.

I nod slowly and stand up, tearing off the strange neck brace I have on. I wander around the corridors quietly, checking around the corners to try and find the others.

Eventually, I find Jane, Thor, Valkyrie, Loki and Odin, all of them looking back at me. I notice Loki glaring at me, so I return the favour.

I walk towards them, muttering "ass-hole" as I pass Loki.

"Twit." he huffed, a large purple bruise covering his neck.

"We are going straight to the bi-fröst." said Thor.

I simply nod my head, the six of us walking along the huge rainbow bridge towards the bi-fröst.

"I hope you understand what you need to do. The team they call the Avengers is who you need to befriend and fight with. I expect you back in 4 Midgardian weeks. Loki, I need you in particular to charm them. And behave." Odin lectures as we walk.

By the time he had finished, we were face-to-face with Heimdall at the bi-fröst.

"Good luck." Odin said as Heimdall activated the bi-fröst.

I hear a loud charging sound and the golden dome begins to spin. After about a minute, I'm sucked into the portal, gliding through a rainbow tunnel of light.

After some time, the light disappears and I find myself on solid ground.

"I believe we are standing on the roof. Let us go inside." said Thor, obviously excited for some reason.

"The roof of where?" I ask, obviously missing something.

"Avengers Facility." answers Jane.

Thor walks through a door on the roof and happily skips down the staircase. The rest of us follow in a line, me right behind Loki, who is being surprisingly irritating. My mind wanders slightly, to the thought of 'nudging' him down the stairs. That'd be funny. As we continue walking down, I catch the heel of his shoe, stepping on it.

"Do you mind?" he snaps.

"Honestly? Not really." I laugh.

He kicks me in the shin and I glare at him.

"Hey!" I yelp, punching his back as he turns to continue going down the stairs.

He swivels back round to face me and grabs my arms, trying to drag me down the stairs. I pull against him and he topples backwards, taking me with him.

At the bottom of the stairs, a group of people have gathered, Thor, Jane and Valkyrie talking to them.

Me and Loki tumble down the stairs, crashing onto the floor with a groan.

The group turn their attention to the two of us.

"What-" Thor says.

"Is that... Loki?" asks a man.

"Yes, Stark. But... hear me out. Loki has very much redeemed his ways." Thor explains to the man.

As I hit and slap at Loki, he retaliates similarly, both of us fighting on the floor.

Thor and 'Stark' pull us apart, restraining us.

"And the girl?" asks a blonde man.

"That, Steve, is (Y/n)." Thor explains.

"Nonono, Reindeer Games and his little girlfriend are not staying here. Nope. Not happening." Stark says.

"Okay, listen." Steve bargains, "If Thor says we can trust them, we take his word for it. But the minute they step out of line-"

"No! How many times has Thor trusted his greasy emo brother? And how many times has that backfired?" Stark yells, "And how many lives are you willing to risk, Cap? Have we all forgotten New York?"

"Greasy emo." I laugh, "Sums you up quite nicely."

"At least I'm not a fugly whale." Loki snarls.

"You wish." I reply.

"Alright!" I hear Valkyrie boom, grabbing both of us by our delicate necks. I wince in pain as she throws us against the wall. "Listen here, okay? You two better shut up, your both annoying. Your both pathetic. And honestly? Your BOTH greasy. So if you could be silent, that'd be great. If not, I will happily apply pressure to your nicely bruised necks, would you like that?" she threatens, tightening the hold on our necks even more, "So, are you gonna behave like adults?"

We nod simultaneously and she releases her hold on my neck, both of us falling to the ground.

I look at Loki and he looks back at me. I huff as we sit with our backs against the wall, panting for air.

"I could've beaten you easily, I was just going soft on the new girl." Loki mumbles.

"Yeah, okay. I believe you." I retort, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

He simply rolls his eyes as I stand, noticing the group had all moved to another room.

Thor re-enters, smiling.

"My friends have allowed you both to stay under close watch. Though, I recommend you both be on your best behaviour. Our room is just along the hall." Thor says.

"Our room?" Loki questions, rising to his feet.

"Yes, we're sharing." Thor confirms, "But there is suitable accommodation for us all. Follow me and I can show you."

I glance at Loki and elbow him out of my way, following Thor. Once the three of us reach the room, Thor opens the door nonchalantly and we enter, a sigh escaping my lips.

"You've got to be shitting me." I groan.

4 beds, 3 wardrobes, 5 people.

"Me and Jane share this bed here, and Valkyrie has selected the one nearest the wall. That leaves these two here." Thor explains, showing us two beds.

Two single beds, inches apart.

"I'm taking this wardrobe." Valkyrie adds, pointing to the wooden wardrobe opposite her bed.

"Me and Jane can share this one." Thor adds, opening his and Jane's wardrobe.

"Apologies, but I am not sharing a wardrobe with her." Loki states.

"Oh shove it up your ass, numbskull." I snarl.
