Nat quickly jogs over to the car, opening the door to announce that the twins were here and were healthy, and that we can finally visit them. The three of us scramble out of the car in a rush to the elevator, quickly finding the way to the room.

"Are you ready?" asks Nat, putting her hand on the door handle.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Loki huffs, a deep exhale of nervousness releasing from his tight chest. I can see a look of anxiousness plaguing his face, however I'm confident that this is going to be really really good. For all of us.

The door opens, revealing a private room of Jane, asleep in a hospital bed, looking tired and worm, and Thor, looking almost as if he'd just paid a visit to a holy grail.

Two small bundles rest in his large arms, swaddled in two yellow blankets, Thor looking up to greet us with a teary-eyed grin.

"Brother, (Y/n)." He smiles.

Loki steps onto the room steadily, turning and holding his hand out for me to take to follow him in. Peter and Nat wait outside alongside some of the other Avengers, clearly granting us some space.

It feels so weird to be within the mix.

I slowly take Loki's hand, his gaze never faltering as we take the leap together. We walk further over to Thor, finally getting a look at the faces wrapped within the bundles.

"Oh Thor," I sigh, "They're so beautiful."

"Aren't they just?" He smiles, proudly.

Loki's words seem caught in his throat, seemingly unsure of how to react, or what to say.

"Oh... Brother."

"Meet Adriana and Niklaus." Thor introduces quietly, gesturing to which of the twins is which.

"Would you each like to hold one? I'd like to check on Jane." he says. I nod and he slowly and carefully passes me Niklaus, the weightless child seeming to place a heavy and nervous burden onto my shoulders.

I cradle him in my arms and study his movements curiously. He's so innocent and vulnerable. It feels such a privilege to hold such a delicacy in my own arms.
Finally, he manages to pry his own eyelids open and looks up at my face.

"Hello Niklaus," I whisper, "I'm (Y/n). Welcome to the world, little guy." I coo.

Thor passes Adriana to Loki and he smiles down at her like she's the most beautiful thing in the world. Which, of course, as his newborn niece, he deemed to be true.

Her unfamiliar limbs seem to move slowly and slightly, testing their ability.

"Hello baby." he says, rocking her gently. Eventually both twins fall asleep in our arms as we sit down on chairs in the room.

"They're precious." says Loki, smiling wildly.

"Yeah, they are." I grin.

"Thor?" says a small voice. We all look over to see an awake, yet exhausted Jane.

"Oh, Jane." He smiles, planting a loving kiss on her forehead, "They're so beautiful."

"Can I hold them?" She asks timidly, both myself and Loki happily lifting ourselves up and handing over the babies with all the care we could fathom.

"Holy shit... that's my daughter." she sniffles, a tear rolling down her cheek, "And my son."

"Are they healthy?" she further questions.

"Healthy as can be." smiles Thor, happily.

She glances up at Loki and I, both of us admiring the newborns with such love and care.
