"Make sense, you seem like the 'complicated' type.." laughs Valkyrie.

Loki looks deep into my eyes and I immediately knew he wanted to know more.

Guess he's a nosy greasy emo now.

"So, what got you so twisted?" asks Thor, exiting the control area.

He must have put the ship on cruise control... otherwise we'd go plummeting back down to Earth, and I really don't have the effort for that today.

I glance over at the window and look into space, intrigued by its mystery.

"Twisted?" I ask, turning back to the conversation.

"You're mysterious. Plus, you just turned up out of nowhere, looking just as confused as to why you're here as the rest of us." explained Valkyrie.

"I don't know what you want me to say," I shrug, "I need the toilet... I'll be back."

I unbuckle my seatbelt and walk into the bathroom, shutting the door for a breath.

Why do they need to know my 'story' or my 'past'? It's none of their fucking business, and I don't have an answer to why I'm here. It's just bloody Odin and his weird 'yOuR pArT oF tHe pRoPheCy' and 'LaDy (y/N) yOuR gOinG tO miDgArd WiTh tHe oThErS'.

No explanation, no information, nothing, none, zip, nada.

"Hey." Thor says softly, his figure casting a shadow over me in the doorway, "You don't have to tell us anything- we just wanted to get to know you a little."

"I know." I say plainly.

He walks in and shuts the door, leaning against the wall in front of me.

"Lady (Y/n)," he begins.

"Please don't call me that." I request, "Just (Y/n) is fine."

"Of course. Well, (Y/n), you remind me of someone." he says, looking into my eyes, "Looking back, they've been through a lot. They acted out, concealed their feelings from all of us. They got themselves into a lot of mess. I look back on it and I think if I could've been there for them or... if somebody could have been there for them, things may have turned out differently. Things worked out okay in the end. But, I just want to tell you that I'm not going to let myself make that mistake again." Thor lectures, smiling at me faintly.

I don't know who he's talking about, but I know what he's trying to say. He's here for me if I need him.

I don't need him, but, it's a nice gesture.

"I appreciate you coming with us, though. To fight Thanos. You're risking your life when you have no reason to." he says, kindly.

"Well, I don't have anywhere else to be right now." I answer, friendlily. He smiles slightly and nods, leaving the room, me following not far behind.

Loki was reading a Midgardian book, leaning back lazily in his chair, Jane and Valkyrie just casually chatting.

"Did you steal that?" I ask.

"Steal what?" Loki replies.

"The book."

"This book?"

"Of course that book, dickhead, what other books do you see around here?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

He points to the table with a laugh, showing an entire pile of stolen Midgardian books.

"Oh well aren't you a smart one." I glare, "You stole them all, didn't you?"

"I borrowed them." he adds.
