Chapter 11 - Girls Like You - Emma Heesters

A week had passed since we had gone boarding for the first time and we had gone twice more because Ace wore me down enough to get me to go, we also managed to get my dad out of the hospital to have some fun with Berlin's help. At the moment I was planning a surprise for everyone. Ace's mom and dad were coming to visit my dad in hopes of distracting him from things for a while. Berlin was looking tired with everything that was going on treatments were tough but the doctors said she had a 90% chance of beating the cancer and it not coming back since we caught it so early. It's funny how she went in for a car accident and is staying because of cancer. Ace was doing something I don't really remember what but he would be here soon. I was leaning against the wall waiting for him. I saw a guy approach me and I moved from the wall so I could have a way to escape if necessary. He seemed to be in his early 30s and had rough cut shaggy hair as if he did it himself he seemed like a creep and I didn't want to be in the same room as him let alone have a conversation with only him. But I could be wrong maybe he was a nice guy with a pervy creepy appearance but he's approaching a girl whose alone to be nice, yeah no it doesn't look good for him.

He got a little too close for comfort and looked me up and down staring at certain areas for a little too long. Oh Ace please come soon. "Does your name start with C because I can see myself with you" the guy said I stared at him in disgust. We are in a hospital and he is trying to take advantage of emotionally vulnerable girls "no my name started with P so can you please go away" I said back, putting an emphasis on the P in please. What? Just because he was being a jerk didn't mean I would be boring about the rejection and if the guy didn't get the hint before Ace got here it wouldn't be pretty. "Are you a sea lion? Because I can see you lying on my bed tonight." Ok that one was too far! "really cause I think that hospital bed has your name all over it" I snapped but I just so happened to say the same thing as the person behind me and I knew this wouldn't end well.

"Ace hey so how about not injuring him I really don't want to bail you out of jail" I said he glanced down at me "but-" I cut him off because if I didn't he would make a valid point I couldn't argue against. "Don't but me Mr. If you go after him I will not bail you out and I will tell our parents not to bail you out and all your friends are in Cali so I'm just throwing that out there" I said knowing that he would listen as long as that guy kept his mouth shut especially since we are in the hospital's waiting room I looked around there were no children so if Ace does decide to go after him they wouldn't be witnessing the fight.

"You're so selfish you have that body for the rest if your life! I just want one night" the guy said. Ok I'm done and I know I can't hold Ace back and I'm not sure I wanted to anymore Ace turned towards the man very slowly "look I was being nice because she wanted me to but I'm done" he said and punched the guy straight in the face I heard a crack great he broke the guys nose I'm trying to feel guilty but the guy deserved it "hey what's your problem she's just some girl I should be able to do whatever I want with her whether she wants to or not" the guy said Ace punched him again the guy fell "she's not just some girl she is my girl, my beautiful baby girl, and if I EVER see you near her again I will make this seem like a bee sting" he hissed in his ear Ace grabbed me and held me as they took the man away and security came.

"Sir you are going to have to come with us" a cop said a few minutes later. Ace kissed my forehead before following I groaned after he left they had taken the guy and were questioning him while the nurses were treating him Ace's mother came in looking confused "why are the cops here and where is Ace I'd figure he would be with you the second he could" she asked I winced "Ace is going to the station for assault and I'm probably going to go bail him out even though I told him I wouldn't because the guy kind of really deserved it." I explained she sighed "you should go bail him besides you're a witness as well I'm very surprised they didn't take you with them for questioning" she said I sighed before walking out getting in my car and driving to the station. I took a deep breath before I entered.
