As the thunder crashes,

She could feel her heart shatter into a million pieces,

As they fell down,

She scampered around,

To find the pieces,

To fix her broken heart.

The lightning struck now,

Sending a shiver down her spine,

She couldn't comprehend anything,

Unable to grasp a single piece,

Like her heart breaker did,

They too slipped through her fingers.

Breaking down into a fit of silent tears and heaving,

She could hear the pitter-patter of the rain drops,

The happy memories flashing across her face,

Followed by a wave of hurt and remorse,

It all crashed down on her.

In the end she was all she had,

She told herself to stay strong,

Unable to fix her broken heart,

She decided to put on a ridiculous mask,

And he would just have to be forgotten.
