Chapter 7: Deep Feelings. . . .

~Carlos' POV~

Today is the last day that my father will be here. He will be going back to war with the Russians again, I guess. Before I left for school, I gave him a hug and a goodbye. He smiled at me and patted my back. Elizabeth, she cried. She gave him a tight hug and kiss on the cheek.

I was walking in the hall way with my books in my arms. I was upset because of that, nothing really can make my day. Consitdering that my dad won't be home because he'll with his soldier buddies. As I was walking, I saw my crush. She was beautiful. Her name was Maria Alvarez, Elizabeth and her were best friends.

"Carlos!" My sister called. I walked over to them. "What class do you have?"

"Art." I said. "You?"

"History." Elizabeth said.

I've never talked to Maria because I never had the balls to do it. I looked at her for a second, she blushed.

"This is Maria." Elizabeth smirked.

"Hello." I smiled. "What class do you have?"

"Music." Maria blushed again.

The bell rang again, warning up to get to class. "Well we will see you later!"

I chuckled as they both ran off to their classes but I swore I heard Maria say, "Does he really like me?!"

"He talks about you like crazy! You should tell him how you feel!" Elizabeth giggled.

I smiled, Maria likes me!!

I quickly walked to my class.

End of the day

Me, Elizabeth, and Maria were walking to my house. I opened the door for them and closed it once I got in. My mum was sitting on the couch with some coffee in her hands.

"Hey guys." Mum smiled.

"Is dad still here?" Elizabeth asked, with hope in her eyes.

"Actually he is." Mum smiled.

Elizabeth ran up stairs, calling, "Daddy!"

We laughed. Maria took a seat next to my mum. I couldn't keep my eyes off her.

"I'll be-uh..up stairs." I said.

I went up stairs and went in my room. I took out a sketch book and my drawing pencil.

~Elizabeth's POV~

After me hugging my dad, Maria and I went in my room. She sat on my bed as I sat on my bean-bag. "Eliza.."

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Carlos, would he date me?" Maria asked.

"Yes! When he saw you for the first time, he was like. She's so cute, adorable, and funny! Even though I've never talked to her because well...I don't have the balls but she is really cute. If I had the balls, I would ask her out on a date and ask her to be mine." I said, smiling.

Maria blushed. "That's so cute."

"My brother has liked a lot of girls but he's never talked about them like that than he does now. I mean, he really has the hots for me." I giggled.

My mum knocked on the door. She came as she was smiling. "What's up girls? I made some cookies."

"Thanks, mum." I said. "Maria has a crush on, Carlos!"

"Eliza!" Maria said, looking down.

"Aww." My mum said. "Does he feel the same?"

"Yeah." I said.

"No wonder he went in his room. His cheeks were red and his eyes changed to a light green, I can tell when you're brother is blushing. His eyes turn a light green and when he's not blushing his eyes are a normal beautiful color blue." My mum smiled.

"Where did he get the blue eyes from?" I asked.

"I don't really know." My mum laughed. "You're dad has green hazel eyes but then there brown. I don't know."

"I want blue eyes," I said. "All the girl love his blue eyes."

"I like him because he is so sweet, cute, quiet and gentle. He always makes me smile when I see him the hall. Carlos is very caring." Maria said, day dreaming.

Me and my mum looked at each other, we smiled.

"You should tell him how you feel." I said.

~Carlos' POV~

I went to my dads room. He was sitting on his bed. He looked up and saw me. "Hey Carlos."

"Hey dad, can I talk you?" I asked.

"Of course." He said.

I sat next to him. I sighed. "Dad...I like this girl. Her name is Maria Alvarez. I have deep feelings for her and-"

"You wanna do-" I cut him off as I knew what he was going to say.

"No dad!" I said, even though I'm lying but no. "I have deep feelings for her but I guess she feels the same. I don't know how to tell her."

"Well, give her some time. Don't rush." My dad smiled. "She'll tell you."

"I know but I wanna tell like now and tell her I want her to be mine and be my girlfriend." I said, I felt my cheeks get hot. Just thinking about her just turns me o-

"Son, then tell her." My dad said. "If you really like her then just do it."

I sighed. "You really think she'll like me?"

"Yes." My dad chuckled. "Go for it."

I hugged my dad and got up. "Thanks."

"Anytime." My dad said.

I walked out the room and went to Elizabeth's. I knocked on the door. "Come in."

I walked in to see Maria making eye connact with me. Her cheeks turned red like mine.

"C-Can I-Uh, talk to M-Maria?" I asked.

My mum and Elizabeth laughed a little. Marai got up slowly making her away. She closed the door and we both went to my room.

"What's up?" Maria asked.

"See...I.." I started.

She giggled. "Maria, I like you a lot and I have deep feelings for you.."

Maria's eyes lit up.

"Me too." Maria said, getting up. "I like you a lot too, Carlos."

"Really?" I asked, smiling.

"Yeah," Maria giggled, again.

I walked closer to her, she didn't move or anything. We looked in each others eyes. "You're eyes...there green."

"It happens when I like someone." I said. Maria smiled as she put her fingers through my hair. I closed my eyes of the feeling. Then her hands went up to my face and pulled me. Our lips touched. I kissed back while my hands moved down to her wasit and pulling her very close to me.

"So does this mean.." I said, pulling away.

"If you want it to be." Maria smiled.

Joy lit up in my eyes. "Be my girlfriend, Maria?"

"Yes, I'd love to." Maria smiled.

I kissed her once more again, her soft lips moving with mine. I finally have her.
