"Michael what are you doing here?" I hissed. He came closer to me. I stepped back almost losing my balance. He grabbed my hand. "Watch your step there sweetheart." I jerked away from him. "Don't call me sweetheart!" I snapped. "Oh what's wrong you don't like that anymore? You use to like when I called you that. Sweetheart." I looked back at Molly's. I could go back in but then they would wonder why I came back. Michael grabbed me by my elbows and pulled me into me. "Now sweetheart don't act like you don't miss me." I pulled away from him. "Go away Michael!" He grabbed tighter on my wrist, "I'm here to stay baby. I'm here to get my family back." You would think be being a Marine I could fight back. I could, however Michael was twice my size. He was built. He went to the gym twice a day. He was a body builder. He was also a jerk.
"Go away! I don't want you! I'm not your family! I snapped. "You might not be but that boy is." He sneered. "You leave him out of this." I demanded.
Michael put his hand around my throat. He pinned me to my car. "That boy is mine. You are mine. You try to get in the way of that and I'll kill you." He pushed me to the ground and kicked my side. Molly's door opened as someone was walking out he ran off. It was Adam. He noticed I was sitting on the ground. "Hey, Jordan you alright?" He asked. "Uh yea. I'm fine." I lied. "Why are you sitting on the ground?" I couldn't tell him the truth. "I..I dropped my keys." I lied again. I don't think he bought that. I'm pretty sure he knew I lied. Adam helped me up and opened by car door. "Have a nice night. Drive safe."

I sped off leaving Adam in my rear view mirror. I wanted to get home as quickly as possible. I could not believe Michael was in Chicago. Life was going good and now it's, well I can't describe it. My mind begin to think of so many thoughts. Michael said he would kill me. Blue lights interrupted my thoughts. "Damn it. Just great." I muttered. I pulled over to the side. I waited. What a way to end a good night. Well it was good til Michael and his irrelevant self showed up. How did he find me? I'm sure I never told him where I was originally from. A tap on my window glass made me jumped. I rolled the window down. "Excuse me ma'am do you know why we pulled you over." A young blond headed male said." Uhhh I was speeding." The officer shook his head. "Can I see your license and register?" He asked. I gave him what he asked for. He walked back to his car with his partner. I shot a message to Elena letting her know that I was on my way home. I left the pulled over part out. The officer came back. "Voight." Before he could finish I zoomed out. Hearing my last name like that made me think about being in the Marines. "Ma'am." I didn't answer. "Ma'am!" He snapped. I jumped. "What?" I asked. "Have you been drinking?" He asked. "Yes I had a beer or two." I answered. "Step out of the car please." He ordered. One of the things I learned in life was to always obey authority unless they was just being ridiculous. I opened my door slowly and got out. I noticed his partner. Female. Brown hair. My height. "Walk a straight line." He said. I did. I walked it just fine. "Please breathe into this." He said. I did. To my surprise I was legal. "You any kin to Sergeant Voight?" He asked. "I am. He's my dad." I replied. The officers eyes widened. "Ok, well since you passed everything. I'll let you slide. Just keep it at the speed limit." He told me. "Yes sir. Oh and my dad doesn't need to know about this little traffic stop." I said then got in my car and pulled off.

I got home. Elena gave me every detail about what they all did while I was away. She talked ninety to nothing. She made sure to tell me what Henry age, played with, and she fed him. She also put him to bed. I plopped down on the couch. I made sure to text Erin that I made it home. Alaska came and laid beside me. She licked me hand. Roscoe followed. Tommy went to bed and left us girls in the living room. "Was I right about going out?" She asked as she grabbed the tv and turned on a movie. "Yes and no." I replied. "How can it be yes and no?" She asked. "I had fun at Molly's. It was great actually. I talked and laughed with Erin and her friends." Elena looked at me, "wait you laughed? Like actually hahaing?" I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Yes I did. As I was leaving it went downhill." I said. "Michael is in town and then I got pulled over." I continued. She turned off the tv. We talked about what happened. I could always talk to her about anything.

I went to bed. I didn't go to sleep. I lay awake wondering how I ended up in this position. Why was this happening to me? I wasn't a bad person. I made some stupid choices but who doesn't. My tiredness finally got the best of me and I fell asleep.

His hand came across my face. A burning sensation filled my cheeks. I fell to the floor. His boot connected with my ribs. "Please stop! I'm sorry!" I begged. "When I tell you to do something you do it!" He screamed. He grabbed my arm and dragged me out the door. He grabbed a rope and tied my hands to the porch post. He bent down and grabbed my face. "This should teach you a lesson."

A knocked awakened me. I jumped hard out of my sleep. I grabbed my gun and opened the door. I pointed the gun at the dark figure.
