Chapter Eleven

I woke up feeling miserable, so I got my morning shower as always, and then feed the dogs. I checked my phone. Erin sent me pictures of Henry and her. She told me what all they had done. I told Elena, Tommy, and Ruzek that I would tell dad about Michael but I decided to put it off. I wanted to figure this out on my own. I needed to stop letting him put fear in me.
I went into the kitchen and grabbed some breakfast.
"When are you going to tell your dad about Michael?" Elena asked walking up behind me. "Good morning to you to Elena." I smirked. "You need to tell him Jordan. Look at your face and your neck. And by the way I saw the fingerprints when you was dragged out of the tub." She noted. "I'm telling him this morning when I pick Henry from the district." I said as put my bowl in the sink. "Jordan...you haven't gone to a single session of therapy have you?" She question. "No." I answered. "Jordan.." she started. "I know." I said.

I grabbed Alaska leash and clipped it to her and walked outside to seen my car had been brought home. "How?" I asked myself. I walked to it and there was a note on it. "You're welcome. -Ruzek"
"Well thank you Mr. Ruzek."
I drove to the district. On the way there my phone buzzed. I ignored it til I got at my destination. I pulled up to the station when I see Ruzek talking to someone. I knew it he would ask the same question Elena did so I grabbed my phone called an old friend. "Hey Isabella. It's me Jordan." I talked to her til I seen Ruzek go inside. Isabella was my old battle buddy Carols' wife. They moved across the country after the funeral. This is actually the first time in months since I spoke to her. I walked in the building greeting Platt like I normally do. I can't believe she was married to the guy Mouch over at 51. I guess everyone can fine love.

I walked upstairs. Everyone was sitting at their desk. Dad was in his office and if so saw correctly Dad had Henry sleeping in his arms. "Hey everybody." I greeted walking passed. I walked passed my surprise date and winked. Okay so it really wasn't a date but we will call him that. I saw Ruzek look at me. I mouth I will to him. Just not right now. I knocked on the office door and walked in. "Hey kiddo." Dad greeted. "Hey dad." I said hugging him. "How's my boy?" I asked looking at Henry sleep in my dad's arms. "He's fine." I sat down and watched Henry and Dad. "What?" Dad asked. "Nothing. I just really happy you get to spend time with him." I said. "Jordan I want to talk to you about the other day." Here we go. "What about it." I asked. "Tell me what really happened." Where do I begin. "Dad, I was super tired and didn't get any sleep. I accidentally fell asleep in the tub." I explained. "Ok. What about your fave and neck." He questioned. "I fell." He nodded. I know he knew I was lying but he didn't say anything. "Jordan..well never mind." He started the stopped. I'm guessing someone motioned from his presence from him getting up and going to the door. "Hey look dad we can talk later." I said getting Henry and placing him in his car seat. "Yea later."
I walked out of his office, talked to Erin some then left.

I took Henry to the zoo. He wasn't able to understand what was going on but I need to get my mind off things and only focus on my son. I put my phone on silent. Alaska stayed at my side as we walked through the zoo. After the zoo, I stopped by mom and Justin's grave. I left some flowers. I wish they were here. Mom would be my shoulder to cry on. Justin would be my person to vent. I decided to stop my Firehouse 51. I walked up. "Hey it's Jordan right?" Cruz waved hello. "Yep. It's Jordan. This is Henry my son." I said. "He handsome. Hey buddy you want to be a firefighter when you get older." Cruz joked. "I think being a detective is in his blood." I laughed. "Hey, come in and say hello to everyone." Cruz said as he guided me up the walkway. I got inside and everyone was watching tv, reading the paper, and all. Cruz got their attention, "Hey guys remember Jordan. Voight's daughter. Man that feels weird to say." They all greeted at once. "What brings you by?" Herrmann asked. "I wanted to come by and thank everyone. I also wanted to introduce Henry to you all." Everyone was intrigued by Henry and Alaska. "Have you done your dad about everything?" Brett asked. "No..He's so busy right now I don't want to bother him." I lied. "You got to tell him. Get it out the way." She replied. "I will."

I went back home. I felt tired by going everywhere. I put Henry down for a nap. I laid in my bed and turned the tv on. I grabbed my phone. I had a text from my surprise date. "It was nice to see you today." I messaged him back. "I would like to take you on a date if that's okay with you." A date? Like a real one with dinner. I sent him back my answer. He didn't reply again. I'm sure he was busy on a case. I decided since Henry was asleep that I could get a nap in too.

Henry's crying woke me up. I got out of bed and picked him up. I grabbed the necessities and fed, changed, and cuddle him. I laid him on my chest. He went sound to sleep. I watched him sleep. My phone started ringing, Erin was calling. "Hey Erin. What's up?" I asked. "Voight wants you to come to the station." She said. "Everything good?" I asked. "Uh yea." She replied. I told her I'd be there in an hour. Henry was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him up. I put Henry back in his crib. I got back in my bed and went to sleep.
I heard my phone buzz multiple times. I ignored them. I said I'd answer them when I get up. My phone started ringing. It was Dad. I answered still half asleep. "Hello?" I mumbled. "You got thirty minutes to get to down to the district or I'll have uniforms pick you up." My dad instructed.
