I knew my dad was serious by his tone of voice. I jumped out of bed and grab some clothes that was the closet. I grabbed my phone and called Elena but she didn't answer. I picked up Henry and placed him in his car seat. I tried calling Elena again but she didn't answer. "Come on Elena." I pleaded. I decided to leave Alaska at home since I was just going to the district and back. "Elena pick up your phone!" I called into the phone. I was headed out the door when Tommy walked in. "Oh Tommy! It's good you are here. Can you watch Henry?" I asked. He agreed. Something about him was off. He agreed too quickly.   He was up to something or he knew. Maybe both.
I walked out the door and saw a patrol car come to a stop. "You've got to be kidding me!" I said out loud. The two cops got out of the vehicle. "I was on my way." I said. "Im just going what I was told." the familiar voice said. "Blondie or should I say Roman. Yeah I looked you up. You too Burgess." Roman rolled his eyes. "Jordan, you gotta come with us." Burgess said. I couldn't believe this man didn't even give me the thirty minutes. "You know what this is about?" I asked. "I'm not at liberty to discuss that." Roman replied. I got in the back of the car. We rode back to the district in silence.
We arrived at the district. Roman and Burgess escorted me upstairs. "You know Blondie, i'm pretty capable of walking to my dad on my own." He ignored me. "We are just making sure you get there." Burgess stated. I walked upstairs and stopped dead in my tracks. All of the Intelligence Unit was there along with Platt, Gabby, Brett, Casey, Severide, and the Chief from 51 was there. Elena was standing by my dad. "What is this? Is this why you couldn't answer the phone Elena? I questioned. My dad walked closer to me. His face was inches away from mine. "I'm going to ask you one time and one time only and you better give me a straight answer. Who is Michael?" I looked at Elena and Ruzek. "Don't look at them look at me." He demanded. I took a deep breath. Every detail about Michael and me was about to come out. Every little thing that I've kept a secret will no longer be hid. "Can I at least sit down?" I requested. "Yeah." He pointed to a chair. I went over and sat. He stood close by. I felt like I would vomit. My knees begin to shake. I felt like my heart would jump out of my chest.

Where should I start? At the very beginning where I went down a dark path after mom died. Should I start at the part where I watch two of my very best friends get shot in front of me and I watched them bleed out. Everyone was staring at me waiting to hear. "Um, after mom died I lost it. I lost myself. I drank so much. I bar hopped most nights. I would leave with guys and we would hookup. Not long after mom died my unit was on a a night patrol in this neighborhood. We was pinned down." I paused. I could feel the tears forming. "We moved to different spot. A grenade was throw our way and we got down for cover. Out of nowhere three shots came. The um bullet missed my head by inches. My two best friends took a round to the stomach and heart. I watched them bleed out. A couple of months after that I met Michael. Michael is Henry's biological father." I stopped talking. I took a deep breath. "A few weeks after hooking up with him. He begin to hit on me. I've had countless busted lips, fingerprints on my neck and arms, and he evens tied me to a pole and left me there all night. Right before I left and found out I was pregnant he held me down and stuck a gun to my face. He told me there was one bullet it. He pulled the trigger but it jammed." I cried as the tears flowed down my cheeks. Atwater handed me a few tissues.

At this point I could see steam coming out of my dad's ears. Erin had to walkway. Al spoke up, "Where is he now?" I told him he was in Chicago but I didn't know where exactly. "Jordan give Ruzek your phone. I want to trace every number." Voight advised. Oh no he can't do that. "He hasn't attempted to call me. I'm telling the truth." I quickly said. The last thing I need was for him to find out about that secret. "Jordan." He began. "Dad I'm not lying. At this point I have no reason."
Dad ordered Roman and Burgess to patrol close to my house. During the day Henry would stay at the firehouse if I had to go anywhere. At night we would stay with my dad. They immediately began building a case against Michael. I'm surprised my dad was going this route instead of finding Michael himself and killing him. I'm sure he would have Al to help him.

That night I packed a few things for Henry and me. Elena and Tommy would stay at the house. At this point it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to go back home to South Carolina they insisted on staying. We went over to dads and he cooked. Erin came over. I laid Henry down for the night. Erin, dad, and me sat in the kitchen talking about my past. It honestly felt good to get that off my chest. It was like a heavy weight was lifted and I could breath again. Jay had told me about this therapist for veterans. He said he would go with me whenever I decided to go.
I laid down for the night. For once I didn't think about Michael finding me, I didn't feel nervous, my head was clear. Well I did have one thing on my mind but I'll see again. I grabbed my phone to check it one last time. I had two messages. The first was from Elena and the second was from Mr Mystery. "I don't care about your past. I want to get to know you as the person you are now. Meet me at The Capital Grille. Saturday 7pm."
