I turned back to face them and rushed over to Alby to see what had happened. My small amount of time as a Med Jack kicking in as I searched for what could be wrong. Minho simply said that he had gotten stung and I looked at him in disbelief before surely enough I turned back and was able to find where he had been stung. I sat against the wall and shuddered when I heard a griever. Thomas wanted to move Alby so I convinced Minho to help us move him to some place safer. The three of us struggled to carry him but we managed to find a place filled with vines where we could easily hide him. Minho started getting aggressive towards Thomas as I walked over to some vines. Shouting at them that we could hide him there. They helped me to get him up as Minho spotted a griever. I panicked as Minho ran off and I continued to help Thomas, mentally cursing at Minho for leaving us behind. We heard the griever approaching so we quickly hid behind the wall of vines, which luckily obscured us from the griever's view. After it passed us we finished tying Alby up but it quickly came back causing us to quickly hide around the corner. Once we thought we were safe again we came back out of hiding to admire our handiwork. Alby had been put so high up that it was nauseating just looking up at him. Thank god he was unconscious otherwise he would probably freak out being up that high. The griever jumped down from the ceiling right in front of us and I screamed at Thomas to run. We started running as fast as we could hoping to escape the monstrosity behind us. Eventually we got separated and I was running on my own, another griever giving chase after me as the original one went after Thomas. I tripped and fell, my ankle bending in an unnatural angle as I heard a crack and fell down, screaming in pain. The griever advanced on me but before it could sting me I rolled out from underneath it and began running in the opposite direction as best as my busted up ankle could hold out so I could confuse it. I continued running until I ran straight into Thomas. I looked over and saw Minho was with him and the three of us began running through the maze as we escaped the grievers. Thomas living up to the name I had given him "dumbass" a hundred percent as he made numerous dumb decisions that almost got him killed while Minho and I were smart about things. Even though the maze was changing around us being a runner for so long was a useful skill coz Minho and I could navigate around the maze a lot better than Thomas could, although he did manage to actually kill a griever to Minho's and my astonishment. Eventually the maze stopped changing and the grievers left, giving us the chance to relax. As the adrenaline wore off the pain of my ankle fully set in and I winced in pain, I realized that Minho still had his running pack with him so I asked if he had some sort of fabric that I could use as a makeshift brace of sorts. He said he did in confusion before noticing the bone jutting out of my ankle. He laughed before swearing under his breath and digging around to find one. Luckily he had a tensor bandage on hand so I was able to use that. Minho helped me walk back to where we had put Alby and I said that the two of them could carry Alby and that I could try to walk on my own. We eventually got closer to the doors, me hopping on one foot and using the wall for balance so that I didn't have to put pressure on my ankle more than necessary, and the doors started opening, the three of us letting out a collective sigh as we rounded the corner. I could hear Chuck yelling happily and Newt rushed over to me, picking me up and spinning around before hugging me as close to him as he could. I laughed a bit before he helped me walk back to the rest of the group as Minho told everyone that Thomas had killed a griever.
