ℝ𝕌ℕℕ𝔼ℝ: 𝔸 ℕ𝕖𝕨𝕥 𝔽𝕒𝕟𝕗𝕚𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟

𝟑𝟑. 𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝

I woke up to someone shaking me. I sat up alarmed to come face to face with Newt saying something. I couldn't make out the words he was saying at first but he pulled me up and we backed into the other side of the room behind Minho who was holding a gun. Newt held me close to him as people tried getting in and I asked what was going on. No one answered and Thomas told everyone to stay back as he tried to break the plexiglass. Newt went over to help Thomas and they managed to break the glass finally. Teresa grabbed a blanket and put it over the broken window as Thomas helped her over. Newt quickly following suit and helping me over. As everyone got over Minho passed the gun to Thomas. As we all got ready to run we ran into a guard to which Thomas actually used the gun. It turned out to be a stun gun but it was still pretty effective. We all began running and Newt grabbed my hand so that I would be able to keep up with everyone. We continued running down hallway after hallway until we found a door at the end of one of the hallways. Thomas tried using a keycard he must have picked up from somewhere as we all surrounded the door. It continued to not work until we heard Rat Man's voice calling out Thomas' name. We all turned around to see Rat Man with a bunch of guards closing in on us and I began to panic slightly when Thomas made the stupid decision to pull the stun gun on Janson. He told Janson to open the door but Janson wouldn't budge. They continued to advance on each other as I curled into Newt's side. He wrapped an arm around me and said that it was going to be okay but I had a gut feeling it wasn't going to be. Suddenly the door opened and we were met by Winston and the boy Aris who I had known a bit before the maze on the other side. We all got through and Thomas decided to try and play hero and shoot at the guards, it didn't work as they had shields and it made them more likely to advance on him. Eventually he ran out of ammo and threw the gun at the guards before turning and running. I let out a surprised laugh over his choice of actions to which I got a couple of confused looks from everyone before turning our attention back to Thomas. Janson began running after him and spoke into his walkie talkie. The doo began to close and I was about to try and run in to help him but Newt held me back saying it was too dangerous. He just made it through and we all rushed to help keep Thomas on his feet. Aris ran over to the lock and broke the keypad, causing the door to stay shut for good as we looked up to see Janson had reached the door. I nodded to Aris and thanked him for his quick thinking before He grabbed a gun. Minho grabbed another gun and we all began running away, Newt grabbed my hand again because I hadn't fully regained my running balance yet. We reached a big door and we ran out into the scorch leaving WCKD behind for good.
