Brittany Runs a Marathon (2019)
Oh deary me this is slowy and dreary and why does New York suck so much?
Like honestly, does anything good ever happen in New York? It seems whenever women move there they're going to have a very bad emotional time. Just say no, girls. You don't need to move to New York.
Brittany is a party girl - think one of the Sex & The City girls without the other three friends. She's 30 (oh no!) and single and gets drunk and druggy a lot whilst in her dead end job. She goes to a doctor to get drugs but is instead prescribed some hard love and to lose weight. So she takes up running, makes some new running buddy friends and gets a weird dog sitting job.
There's just a lot of emotional back and forth and up and down. There's a lot of friendship and self-ship drama. Is "selfship" a word because it should be. Brittany suffers from a lack of selfship, and selfship-shapeness. There's a lot of horrid body hatred and fat-drama. There's a lot of having to resist food and fun for runs. There's a lot of boy-drama.
It's just all a bit trying and the marathon, when finally run, still doesn't seem that great.
