One step at a time, Yena walked in the busy streets of Seoul. The music playing in her earphones blocked the noise you can hear in the street. She was wearing a back hoodie, leggings, a pair of sneakers, a face mask, and a cap that covered most of her skin.
Walking home, she passed by the cafe. The place caught her attention. It made her remember her ex-girlfriend, Jo Yuri. The times they used to eat in that cafe. The times she would buy her favorite drink. It all went back. But all she could do was to sigh heavily.
'I guess it will just be a memory now.' She thought.
She shrugged and wiped the forming tears in her eyes before proceeding to walk home again.
However, another establishment caught her attention. It was the PC Bang. She remembered the moments they played with their friends. She missed how Yuri was always there to support her when she and her friends played games. The way Yuri wipes her sweat away during an intense match, she missed it.
Like a while ago, all she managed to do was sigh once more.
She continued to walk. The flashbacks inside of her head drove her with different emotions. She was nearing home. She can finally feel peace after this hell of a roller coaster emotion.
Once she arrived, she locked the door and let the tears flow. She released all the emotions building up as she walked to that long street. The music stopped as she took off the earphones that were once covering her ears from the noise outside.
She sat down at the floor while resting her back on the couch behind her. She decided to sing. She wanted to sing the pain away.
"All I want is nothing more
To hear you knocking at my door
'Cause if I could see your face once more
I could die as a happy man I'm sure"
She looked at the door as she sang those lines. She remembered the moment she saw Yuri leave that place after they cut their ties off. More emotions flowed. More tears rolled down her chubby cheeks.
She closed her eyes and sang the next lines.
"When you said your last goodbye
I died a little bit inside
I lay in tears in bed all night
Alone without you by my side"
She managed to sing it even if she was wailing her pain out. At this point, she was only hurting herself more. She kept remembering her past, a sign that she is not yet ready to face the future. Like how she remember Yuri's words before she stormed out of the house, carrying all her luggage.
"But If you loved me
Why did you leave me"
Those lyrics hit Yena. She wasn't able to fight back the thoughts now roaming inside her head.
She continued singing. With every lyric she sang, the pain was evident. It was as painful as an arrow going through your heart. But this time, it was reality going through your whole body, mind, and soul. It was the reality that Jo Yuri will only be a memory from the past.
"Take my body

All I need is

I'll find somebody"
With the last line, the tears flowed like a river. The pain was slowly fading. She was feeling better.
"'Cause you brought out the best of me
A part of me I'd never seen
You took my soul wiped it clean

All I need is

I'll find somebody"
She stood up and grabbed herself a glass of water. Unfortunately, she failed to hold it tightly, causing the glass to fall and shatter on the ground.
Yena swore and cleaned it up while she cries.
Months passed, and she was crying again. She always does this daily now. Her moment was interrupted as the sound of the doorbell rang. Quickly, she wiped her tears away and composed herself before opening the front door.
"Yena."
"Y-yuri... What are you doing here?" She stuttered as she replied.
"I would like to invite you to our wedding." Yuri awkwardly smiled as she pulled a girl near her.
"O-oh. Your fiance?" Yena pointed to the girl beside Yuri.
"Yup. Hyewon, this is Yena, my friend. Yena, this is Hyewon, my fiance."
"Nice meeting you." Hyewon reached her hands out, which Yena took.
Yena smiled bitterly. The tears are forming again, but she managed to fight them back.
"Please try your best to attend. We have to go to our other guest. Have a good day, Yena."
Yena closed the door after waving goodbye to them.
"Thank you, Yuri. I need to let you go now. Even if I wanted to fight for us, it wouldn't work out if it was only me who was trying. Ten months of pain is enough for me. Thanks for making memories of my past. Now, I need to face the future, the future without you." Yena said as she rests her body on the door, tears flowing continuously.
