School goes on for the next couple of months. Lace bonding more with Bee and her brother, Jonah leading the entente and continuing his rule in school, and Val plotting ways to befriend Lace. As Lace steps out of the bus, she trips and falls but doesn't feel her face splat. Instead, she feels a pair of bracelet-less arms catch her. Lace gets her balance and pulls herself up, face red as she looks at the culprit.

"Hey sugardoll" Val says, Australian accent peeking through. Lace scoffs and rips his grip off her, hoping that this caused him pain. Lace sprints to her locker, Val following after her. She sees Bee and sighs in relief and opens her locker.

"Whoa, what happened petite queen," Bee asks, helping her best friend put her books in her locker.

"Nothing, I left my phone on my bus so I had to get it" Lace signed lying. Jonah and she had made an agreement to not tell Bee about Val.

"How was last night Honeybear?" Lace asked Bee. Yesterday Bee had a date with her longtime boyfriend, Terrence. Bee and he had met each other last year at the art expo and both of them had become inseparable. Lace instantly notices that Bee's face drops and tears start to come out of her eyes. Lace instantly hugs Bee, dropping all of her stuff.

"H-he cheated on me, Lace. He cheated on me with Madison" Bee clutches Lace's shirt, while Lace's features contort into one of fury. Lace rubs the sobbing girl's back as Madison stalks towards the pair, unknown to both.

"You know that Terrence never wanted you anyway. All he wanted to be was someone with access to the enetene, which you have with Lace" Madison snarls. Lace sees Jonah and waves him over and turns to Bee and signs

"Go to class while I deal with her honey." Bee nods and walks to AP CW. Lace walks towards Madison who seems to have lost all of her confidence and starts to sign.

"If you want to fight then I will, I've beaten you once and won't mind doing it again." Jonah translates for her, as Madison shakes her head. Jonah stalks towards her and rips off her band, shocking her. While all of this was happening Val forms a plan in his head to get close to Lace.
