"Only you can decide

What breaks you."

"I can't believe that you killed her!" Lace and Val got in another argument over Bee's death. Ever since Val found out that Lace went to visit Jonah both of them had been fighting more often, the honeymoon period was over and tension was rising in the relationship. Val steps next to her and tucks a strand of hair behind her eyes. Lately, he had been trying to manipulate her but it hadn't been working.

"I had to do it, Sugardoll. She was going to ruin our love." He tries to get closer but she pushes him away,

"I didn't even like you then! That's not a good excuse." Lace looks up, tears in her eyes. She shakes her head and slips on her shoes, going out the door,

"I think we're done." Val's face drops and he grabs her hand pulling her in slowly.

"N-no, we can't be over. I treated you perfectly and got you everything that you wanted. I even got your mother to support your career!" He rushes everything out pulling her into his embrace and closing the door. When Lace hears the door shut her head swings to look at the noise and she gets out of her embrace, opening the door again to find all five of Val's lackeys outside the frame.

"Welcome boys, I trust that you got my text?" He says, tightening his hold on Lace's body. Lace whines as he kisses her forehead,

"You forced me to do this Love. Don't worry it won't hurt. It'll just bring back some painful memories." He sits her down on the couch and chains her foot to the leg of the chair. He then slips over a sweatshirt over her tank top, it instantly warms up the small girl, but doesn't warm her mind.

The five of them circle around her each one slowly taking off their blazer, ready to manipulate the small girl at the given word. Lace squints and sees another figure in the shadows, who is that? Her hands pull the sweater to create sweater paws giving her some form of protection.

"Time to start. Y'all can go ahead." Val sits in the throne-like chair in the front of the room as one of them starts to speak.

"You know Lace, killing Bee was fun actually, getting to see her "fall in love" was-" Lace starts to hum trying to zone out and not pay attention to what he was saying. The five never really noticed that she was zoned out.

"You good princess? You see you need me right, I protected you from the bad people." Lace shakes her head,

"No thank you. I'm not your princess. I'm a queen and I can protect myself damn well."

Oooh, tension! We're so close to the end of the book! Make sure to comment, like, and share! TWPK!- Sky
