"It's all your fault Lace. You could have done something. It's all YOUR fault."

Lace jolts awake and covers her mouth. Tears start running down her cheeks as she silently sobs.

"I'm sorry Bee." Lace signs, for the first time wishing that she could speak since her father died. She swings out of bed and pads softly to the kitchen. She looks at the clock and sees that it's 4 am.

"Lace?What are you doing here?" Daliah asks. Lace whips around,frightened.

""I couldn't sleep." Lace says, while Daliah nods,

"Why don't we stay up till school starts?" When Lace was younger and her father was still around, the Reigne family would stay up the whole night. Mostly making french sweets.

"Really maman?" Lace questions as Daliah nods,

"Do you want to bake something for your boyfriend?" Daliah wiggles her eyebrows up and down as Lace blushes.

"He's not my boyfriend maman." Lace signs as she goes to find the flour and the chocolate for the croissant.

"What movie did you watch with Jonah?" Daliah hums.

"Umm.. We watched The Notebook and The Titanic" Lace signs. Daliah nods in agreement, Lace got emotional really quickly from movies.

"Shall we paint our nails ange?" Dailah asks Lace who nods enthusiastically. She runs to her room to get the nail polish and sees something on her dresser. It was a small green nail polish that Bee gave to her. One day Lace said that her nails looked pretty and the next day Bee brought her the bottle. Looking at it brought tears to her eyes.

"Lace,where are you?" Daliah brings Lace out of her trance. Lace wipes her tears and walks downstairs, nail polish in hand.

"What color do you want?" Daliah asks.

"The green" Lace points to the color that Bee got her. Daliah goes and puts the colors on her nails.

"Can you help me put the pink on my right hand?" Daliah asks Lace. Lace nods and puts the pink color on, finishing just as her phone dings.
