"What if I told you that your

damage doesn't define you and the way

that you survived is nobody's damn business?"

Bee's grave sits there, flowers all around. Today was the one year anniversary of Bee's death. Lace sits next to it with Jonah hugging her around the waist. Jonah graduated and took over his father's business in marketing and Lace pulled out of school, not needing another diploma, she registered into the art school nearby. Her mother and Val's parents got 25 years in jail for accessory to murder and for overlooking more important cases. Val got a life sentence for first-degree murder. For the first time in a while Lace felt.. happy. Even though a part of her is missing, she feels whole, as a whole that she could be of course. Jonah let her live with him after her mother lost the house because of the conviction.

"Do you think that she is happy up there?" Lace asked. After she got revenge on Val, Lace started speaking little by little. Jonah looks at her and nods,

"You did something that nobody else would do for your best friend. She will be happy." Lace looks up at him and smiles, all around Bee's grave people were paying respects to her mother and father.

"Are you Lace Reigne?" A random person asks, Lace looks at them and nods uncertainty.

"Shame on you! You almost killed Val and his family, you murderer!" Jonah's head snaps up hearing this and he starts to stalk towards the small man. Lace puts her palm on his chest, stopping him from moving any further.

"I got this Jonah." She whispers in his ear. She walks around the man, intimidating him.

"Do you see anybody that cares here? I know that you're trying to free Val and the others. False information won't do that, trust me. Yes, I was about to kill him. But then I was brought to my senses by my friend that he killed. I would never stoop to his level. So do me a favor and leave." Her hand gently pushes the man away and he runs out of sight.

"You've always had a thing with words," Jonah said while straightening out his suit.

"Yes. I guess that I do." She replies.
