"Shit." I say under my breath, lifting the blankets over me knowing we're totally late.
I nudge Brendon but he only turns to his side.
"Brendon! We're late! The bus!" The bus supposedly was to leave at 9. It's 9:42.
I check my phone while putting on my boxers and pants, but keep stumbling over Brendon's clothes. There's 6 missed calls from Spencer and one text from Zack:
Thanks for showing up. Find your own ride.
Fuck.
I slow down my pace and plop back onto the cold hotel bed next to a sound asleep Brendon. I move my fingers through his hair, much more gently than last night, to which he turns and wraps his skinny pale arm around my still bare torso. He moves his head right at my shoulder keeping his eyes closed, "Good Morning Dal."
I move my hand to his waist and begin to move my thumb up and down to trace his skin.
"We missed the bus." I say calmly.
"Eh. Who cares? Show's not until tomorrow right?"
He has a point, but we still shouldn't have gotten that wasted and missed it without telling anyone.
Brendon still has his eyes closed laying on me. The room is cold but his warmth radiates onto my skin. He comforts me, makes me feel complete and worth it. We don't do much anymore, so I guess this good. A day to ourselves. We'll take advantage of the beautiful Chicago day and go sightseeing. Catch a movie, eat some dinner, have some crazy outrageous sex. Who knows what's coming.
"We should get breakfast."
Brendon moans in protest but still gets up anyway. He still has his briefs on since he fell asleep last night. As he walks through the room to the bathroom, I stare at the perfection of his ass.
"Stop staring at my ass!"
"Baby you love when I give you the attention." I smirk. He laughs and continues to shut the door behind him.
It hasn't been a year and my life has totally flipped. I went from being miserable in life, to being in a relationship that is unexplainable. Before the band I didn't want to talk to people because all they would do was judge me. Without even talking either. Sometimes you can just sense the amount of uncomfort and despise people have toward me and my sexuality by the stupid look on their faces. Brendon taught me to ignore them. He showed me that it doesn't matter as long as there's something to distract you. None of those stupid people matter anymore, it's just him and me.
Us.
He makes me warm at night, he makes me be who I want to be, he makes me feel worth it and comfortable with myself. He's my everything and even though we've been through hell, it was worth it. All the shit was worth it because he is perfect.
I get up and catch him getting out of the bathroom. Before he can question me, I pull him into a kiss. He's confused at first but then he slopes down his shoulders and gives into it. I pull myself off from his waist, and don't break away from his big deep brown eyes.
"I love you, you don't even know how much I love you. Nothing, fucking nothing will make me stop loving you. I love seeing you smile in the morning, I love seeing you piss drunk, and I love seeing that we share the same bed. I love you Brendon Urie."
His grin is amazingly huge, and he tries to hide back the tears that are glistening in his eyes. He grabs my hair and pecks my lips one last time.
"Dallon. I love you more." He squeezes me with his arms wrapped around my torso. He pulls away and softly kisses my cheek before going back to the bathroom to get ready.
*********
Since we didn't have any extra clothes, we were able to get out of there pretty fast. We managed to find a small coffee shop around the corner from the hotel to have breakfast. After Brendon taking three hours to decide what he wanted, we finally make out way to a small booth in the corner of the shop. He places his hand over mine like we just met. He's still shy about the whole 'public affection' thing, but I say fuck it. We're in love.
"So what do you want to do today?"
He asks, taking a small sip of his coffee."I kinda wanted to catch a movie then dinner? Take it easy."
He nods at my proposal then begins to whistle."Don't you ever get that like uneasy feeling? Like someone's staring at you but there's nothing there?"
He ponders my question but doesn't take it to much consideration, just shrugs.
"I'm just used to everyone looking I guess."
He doesn't make much of it because of all the people in the cafe. I just continue to sip my burning coffee and stare at Brendon's eyes. I get lost every time at his features. He knows exactly what I'm doing. He only giggles and stares back.
"Want to walk around?" He points his head out the door towards the cold but nice outside. I agree and we walk out of the room, suddenly greeted by the 30 degree weather.
"Shit, I'm gonna get my jacket from the room."
Brendon nods and stays downstairs while I take the elevator. I tap my foot for the doors to open faster.Floor two- stop-enter one person.
Floor four-stop-exit another.
Floor five-stop-enter another.
Floor six-stop-enter another.
My foot just taps faster, before we reach the seventh floor. I'm in no hurry, I just want to make the most of the 'day off'. After all, it's not everyday that you miss the bus because you and your boyfriend forgot to set an alarm because you were so wasted.
I step up to the room and the door is slightly cracked open.
Must be housekeeping.
I ignore it and continue in.
I tense up and am paralyzed in the doorway. My coffee spills to the floor, bleeding through the cheap hotel carpet.
"Hello Dally Baby, I missed you. I'm sure you missed me."
Fuck.
