A month later
Betty POV
It's been a month since I was diagnosed with leukemia. We haven't told the kids yet. I have another chemo appointment today and I'm getting ready.
"Babe you ready yet?" Jughead calls.
"Almost I just have to brush my hair." I yell back. I grab my brush and go to the bathroom mirror. I run the brush through my hair and see a lot more hair than usual come out. My hair has been falling out for 2 weeks now. Then Jughead walks into the bathroom.
"Hey you almost...Baby" he says and hugs me.
"I don't wanna lose my hair." I say.
"It's gonna happen babe and we knew it would." Jughead says and grabs my hands.
"But it doesn't matter you can have no teeth and also be bald. I'll still love you the same because your still the most amazing and beautiful woman in my eyes." He says. My eyes start to tear up.
"Baby don't cry" he says and pulls me into his chest.
"How'd did I get so lucky" I smile at him.
"No how'd did I get so lucky" he says and kisses me.
"But let's get going before we're late Giggles" he says and I giggle.
Later
"You sure?" Jughead asks.
"Yep Just do it before I change my mind." I say and Jughead turns the clippers on.
20 minutes later
"You look so beautiful" he smiles and kisses my head. I smile and look up at him.
"Now we have to tell the kids." I say.
"We can tell them when they get home from school. But until then we don't want your head to get cold" he says and takes off his beanie and puts it on my head.
"Jug seriously" I ask.
"Yes I am. Let's eat lunch" he says and we go downstairs.
Later
"Mom! Dad! We are home!" I hear Pj say walking into the house.
"Guys we're in the living room" Jughead says and they walk in.
"Mommy why are you wearing daddy's beanie" Maddie asks.
"Guy we have to tell you something" Jughead says and the kids sit down next to us.
"What's wrong?" Pj says.
"Mommy's sick with a cancer call leukemia" Jughead says.
"What's cancer?" Maddie asks
"Isn't that what grandpa had." Pj says
"Yeah" I say.
"And didn't her die from that" Pj says.
"Yes but I'm not dying right now. Im not as sick as grandpa was." I say.
"But what's cancer" Madelyn asks.
"It's a sickness that can be treated but might not work all the time. The one mommy has makes her bones weak and makes her really tired." Jughead ssys.
"And the treatment I have to use makes some people's hair fall out. So it got really bad and I told your dad to cut it off" I say.
"But why do you have to be sick? Why do you have to go through this why can someone else?" Maddie says and starts crying.
"Baby come here" Jughead says and hugs her against his chest.
"Mommy's gonna be fine she's so strong and she's a fighter. She's gonna beat this" Jughead says.
"I know moms the strongest person in the world" Pj says. I smile and hugs him.
"I love you guys" I smile.
"I love you too mommy" Pj and Maddie say.
"I love you more" Jughead smiles and kisses me.
"No infront of us." Pj says and pushes our heads apart.
"Can we watch a movie" Maddie asks.
"Yeah sure" Jughead says and goes to Netflix.
