Chapter 24- I cant lose you

3 months later
Jughead POV

The past three months have been hard. Betty's been getting worse. She has been getting weaker and she has been tired all the time. She fainted 2 months ago and has been hospitalized since then. The kids are scared that she might no make it. I know that she will pull through and get better and beat the Fuck out of cancer.

"Hey Dimples" I smile and walk into her room.

"Hi" she smiles.

"I dropped the kids off at school and I got you something" I say and hand her a little box.

"What is it" She smiles and sits up.

"Just something special" I say and she opens the box. She smiles and looks up at me.

"Jug" She gasps, "This is so cute" She takes the bracelet out of the box. Its a silver bracelet with a panda, and a crown charms on it.

"Want me to put it on for you?" I ask

"Yeah thanks" She says. She hands me the bracelet and I clip it on her wrist. i hold her hand up so i can see it better.

"It looks so pretty" I smile and kiss her hand.

"I love you" she smiles.

"I love you too Dimples" i say and she giggles.

"Come here I wanna cuddle you" She says and I climb into her bed. she places her head on my chest.

"Maddie is really worried about you Betts" i whisper.

" I know i tell I'm fine but she doesn't believe me. I ju-...I just don't want her to be upset about me. That one day shell go to school and i wont be here anymore." she says.

" We both know that wont happen" I say

" I know. I feel better honestly. I'm not so tired anymore. But my arms and legs hurt still but im used to it" Betty says.

"I know you look a little better your not as pale as you used to be" I say.

" Can you bring the kids tomorrow?" Betty asks.

" Yeah sure they have been asking" I say and she sighs. 

The next day

"Is mommy doing better?" Maddie asks as we walk into the hospital.

"Yesterday she said she felt better" I say.

"when can mom leave the hospital?" Pj asks 

"That i don't know" I say and he nods.

" I want her to be able to go to my soccer tournament" he says as we walk up to the front desk.

"Who are you here to see" the receptionist asks.

" Elizabeth Jones" I say.

"Okay room 217" She smiles and we walk to the elevator.

"No i don't wanna go on the elevator" Maddie says and backs away.

"You're still scared to go on the elevator" Pj says.

"Shut up" Maddie says to him.

"Its okay Nugget nothing to worry about" i say and grab her hand. We walk inside and she hold on to the railings really tightly. Pj smiles and then starts jumping.

"Pj stop!" Maddie yells and he keeps jumping.

"Pj" I warn and he stops. the doors open and we walk out. As we are walking to Betty's room a bunch of doctors start running to someones room. as we get closer its Betty's room.

"Dad what happening?" Pj asks.

"I don't know." I say i walk closer and see Betty shaking on the bed and doctors trying to stop it.

"Betty!" i say and walk in the room.

"Sir you can't be in here" a nurse says.

"I'm her husband" I say back.

"You still cant be in here" she says and closes the door in my face.

Later

Archie came and got the kids. Betty had a seizure. They said that sometimes leukemia messes with the nervous system and causes seizures. Betty's sleeping right now and im right next to her.

"Jug" Betty croaks out.

"Hey how you feeling?" I ask her.

"What happened" She asks and holds her head.

"You had a seizure" i say and she freezes.

"What? Why did i have a seizure? I don't have that kid of cancer" Betty says.

"I know but the doctor said that sometimes it messes with your nervous system." I say and she nods.

"Am i getting worse" She asks brokenly.

"I don't know. But you can't baby, I love you and I can't lose you.I need you and the kids need you so you gotta get better" i say.

"I'm trying Jug" she says. And she really did try.
