Hayoung didn't know what to say in response to Jungwoo's confession so instead, she stared at his lips, leaning forward to close the space between them. The kiss was soft and delicate, making Hayoung smile as the she leaned back, resting her forehead against his.
"But you have a-"
Hayoung cut him off with another kiss, this time snaking her hands around his neck to pull Jungwoo closer to her. This time, Jungwoo kissed her back more passionately, their lips meshing together in a perfect rhythm.
When they finally broke apart, Hayoung couldn't bear to look at him out of shyness and rested her head on his chest instead, listening to his beating heartbeat.
"I like you too, Jungwoo." Hayoung said, just loud enough for him to hear. She felt Jungwoo's fingers run through her hair, sending sparks through her body from the touch.
"Let's get ready for bed." Jungwoo suggested. Hayoung nodded, removing herself from Jungwoo's body. She smiled as she saw Obok sitting by the couch, as if he was happy to see the two confessing to each other.
"Go get ready first." Jungwoo said, lightly rubbing her back. Hayoung went to her bag to grab some clothes and then made her way to the bathroom but she heard tiny footsteps following her.
"Obok, don't follow her to the washroom, she needs to wash up." Jungwoo called out. Hayoung couldn't help but smile as the small dog stopped in it's trail, turning around before running towards Jungwoo.
Hayoung entered the washroom, getting ready for the night.
Once she was done, she came out to see Jungwoo sitting on the floor in his pyjamas, playing with Obok. He smiled as he looked up at her.
"He's being really needy today. You go play with him." Jungwoo said, giving her hand a quick squeeze as he walked by before disappearing into the washroom. Hayoung sat down where Jungwoo was, playing with the small puppy.
Soon, Jungwoo came back out, poking Hayoung in the back to get her attention. "Bedtime."
Hayoung chuckled before following Jungwoo to the bedroom, Obok's feet pattering as he followed the two of them. Obok snuggled up on his small bed in the corner of the room while Jungwoo and Hayoung laid down in the bed.
Hayoung placed herself close to Jungwoo as he adjusted the blanket so that it covered both of them. She couldn't help but giggle as she stared at him.
"What?" Jungwoo asked, staring at her as he tucked a strang of hair behind her ear.
"You're cute." Hayoung said before covering her face with her sleeves giggling. Hayoung watched as a wide grin spread on Jungwoo's face and the next thing she new, Jungwoo had his arms wrapped around her, his face buried into her neck.
"You're cute too." Jungwoo mumbled as Hayoung tangled her fingers through his hair.
"Mm, okay. We should sleep though, we both have work tomorrow." Hayoung said. Jungwoo backed away, staring at her before surprising her with a peck on the lips.
"Yah, what was that for?" Hayoung exclaimed, propping herself up on her elbow but Jungwoo simply smiled, closing his eyes.
"Goodnight kiss." Jungwoo said. Hayoung couldn't help but stare at the peaceful image of the boy before lying back down again, falling asleep.
...
The two of them woke up to barking and Jungwoo sat up to see Obok sitting by the bed.
"It's too early." Hayoung grumbled from beside him, placing the blanket over her head. Jungwoo chuckled as he grabbed his phone, checking the time.
"I'm going to take Obok on a walk, sleep for a bit longer." Jungwoo told her. Hayoung nodded, getting comfortable in the bed.
Jungwoo chuckled as he got of the bed, putting the leash on the small dog before exiting the small apartment.
...
Jungwoo was surprised by the pleasant scent when he returned with Obok. Hayoung was in the kitchen, fully dressed for work, a bowl full of batter beside the stove.
"Go get ready for work, I'm making pancakes." Hayoung said, a bright smile on her face. Hayoung's hair was curled, wearing a black blouse with a grey checkered skirt. Jungwoo couldn't help but stare at her, admiring everything about her.
"What?" Hayoung said, noticing that Jungwoo was still there.
"Why are you so perfect?" Jungwoo asked, earning a smack on the arm.
"Go get changed, will you?" Hayoung said as Jungwoo laughed at her reaction. As he walked away, he noticed a large grin on Hayoung's face from the corner of his eye, making his insides fill with warmth.
...
Once the two of them were done eating, Jungwoo did the dishes while Hayoung played with Obok.
"Hayoung, it's time to go." Jungwoo said, wiping his hands.
"Obok, mommy and daddy are going to leave for work now. Be a good boy while we're gone." Hayoung said, petting the dog before standing up. Jungwoo stared at her.
"Mommy and daddy?" Jungwoo asked as Hayoung grabbed her purse from the sofa and put her heels on.
"Yeah, aren't we Obok's parents?" Hayoung said, looking into his eyes.
"I guess we are." Jungwoo said, chuckling as he picked his keys up, heading out the front door, Hayoung following behind.
...
"Doyoung, I think there's something wrong with this." Hayoung said, strolling into her brother's office but was surprised by the sight of her brother on the phone with someone.
"I'll talk to you later." Doyoung said, hanging up. Hayoung narrowed her eyes at him.
"Who were you talking to?" Hayoung asked, approaching his desk.
"No one. What's up?" Doyoung replied but Hayoung was unconvinced.
"Take a look at this." Hayoung said, passing Doyoung the folder. Once Doyoung's hands were clutching onto the folder, Hayoung grabbed his phone from his desk, looking at who her brother was on call with.
"Riko?" Hayoung exclaimed as she saw the name. She turned to face Doyoung who was staring daggers into her eyes.
"Give it back." Doyoung said, trying to snatch his phone back but Hayoung held it up, hitting the home button which showed Doyoung's wallpaper which was an image of Doyoung and Riko.
Hayoung's jaw dropped as Doyoung stood up, taking his phone back.
"This is a complete invasion of privacy." Doyoung muttered as he put his phone into his pocket.
"Kim Doyoung. Explain. Now." Hayoung said, staring at her brother. Doyoung let out a deep sigh, running his fingers through his hair, clearly stressed out from the situation.
"Riko and I are dating."
