"Bomi?" Jungwoo exclaimed, standing up. Bomi stared at him, wide-eyed.
"Dr. Kwon, do you know this man?" Her co-worked asked.
"Yeah, sorry. Hi Jungwoo." Bomi said, giving him a small smile. Jungwoo was in disbelief. How did this girl that almost ruined his life end up as surgeon in this hospital?
"I didn't know you worked here." Jungwoo said, narrowing his eyes at her. He watched as she scratched the back of her neck, clearly nervous.
"Yeah, I actually got hired as the head of orthopedic surgery here." Bomi told him. Jungwoo raised an eyebrow, surprised at her position, but her co-worker quickly butted in.
"That's only because she's the only orthopedic surgeon here." Her co-worker said with a chuckle.
"Wasn't Dr. Park an orthopedic surgeon too?" Jungwoo asked her, recalling the his mother's last surgeon.
"Oh, Dr. Park transferred." Bomi told him. Jungwoo just nodded, taking in the information as he glanced to the side.
"I'm going change, but I wish you the best." Bomi said, giving Jungwoo a small smile before walking away just as his mother was being rolled out.
"Who was that?" His mother asked him.
"Ah, just an old friend. How are you feeling?" Jungwoo quickly asked, changing the subject.
"Like I always feel." His mother replied. Jungwoo gave his mother a grin, patting her arm as he rolled her to her assigned hospital room.
...
Hayoung sat at her desk, debating what to do next. She had finished work for the day but the last thing she wanted to do was to go home and do nothing until it was time for bed.
That's how Hayoung found herself walking into the white and pink café on the first floor. As she entered, she saw Doyoung sitting at a table with Jungwoo, while Mark was playing on his phone behind the counter.
The boys turned to face her as as the bell rang. She gave them a small smile before taking a seat at the table where Jungwoo and Doyoung were sitting.
"Why are you here?" Doyoung asked her as he watched his sister take a seat.
"Don't feel like going home." Hayoung answered.
"How was Japan?" Jungwoo asked her. She noticed Doyoung give him a suprised look, probably wondering how Jungwoo knew about her trip.
"It was pretty boring to be honest. It was just a lot of socializing." Hayoung answered.
"Ah socializing. The one thing you hate the most." Doyoung said with a chuckle. Hayoung gave him a glare.
A customer suddenly entered so Jungwoo got up, returning to the counter, leaving the two siblings alone.
"How's Yuta?" Doyoung asked her. Hayoung rolled her eyes.
"Fake, that's what he is." Hayoung responded. Doyoung gave her a confused look.
"He acts all nice and kind in front of others, but at home, he's a slob. Also, he always blasts his music or has friends over, it's terrible." Hayoung explained.
"Isn't that you?" Doyoung joked. Instead, he earned a smack on the arm.
"Hayoung, do you want a café latte?" Jungwoo called out from the counters as the customer left, to everyone's surprise.
"That would be nice." Hayoung said, a smile on her face. Jungwoo nodded and began to prepare her drink while Doyoung gave her a smirk.
"What?" Hayoung asked him.
